Describe your choice of talents and why you've chosen them:
Best for consistent single target damage. I would run fel barrage on opulence or fights where burst aoe is the priority. Netherwalk and Soul rending can be swapped depending on the fight. Netherwalk is great for progression as it gives you an immunity whereas soul rending is great in M+ as you can self heal a lot.
How do you prioritize your stats and why?
Agi > Vers > crit > haste > mastery. pawn stat weighs and sims prove that this (for my current gear) is the correct order for single target. For Aoe haste is better than crit so on certain fights I'd like to have more haste so I change rings accordingly.
Where do you acquire knowledge about your Class?
Simming, Icy veins sometimes but it's very basic, Bloodmallet.com for azerite gear/traits and trinkets. Streamers and looking at wowlogs. It's very easy to see what I'm doing wrong if I look on wowlogs and compare myself to other Havoc DH's who are parsing very well and have high mythic progression. Discord servers for DH also help a.k.a The fel hammer.

Raiding History:
Describe your previous/current raiding experience:
Very basic raiding history to be honest. Raided mostly as a social back in Mists of pandaria with azys doing heroic runs. This got me into checking logs and learning the ins and outs of my class etc. Due to IRL reasons playing rugby and hockey I could not commit to raiding schedules and therefore quit the game until the beginning of Legion where I raided in a heroic guild and got curve for ToS and Antorus. My main mythic raiding experience came from Uldir with Tre Lowen. I started as an assassination rogue and killed Taloc and Mother. After killing these bosses Tre Lowen needed a DH for their raid comp so I happily swapped for the team. I also just felt that it would be fun playing a class with more consistent aoe and ST dps. We continued pushing Mythic to 5/8 but with our raid team constantly changing members and having socials come in just to fill raid spots. Being frank it was not the most fun of experiences however it was good to get me into the flow of Mythic raiding and to show where I can improve as a player. In BoD we are currently 3/9M and our raid team still isn't perfect and there's people putting in a lot more effort than others and think that's a shame to not all have the same goal as a raid team is supposed to be a unit.
Tell us about your previous guilds and your reasons for leaving them:
As I said above Tre Lowen is very disjointed and not everyone shares the same goal of pushing mythic to the best of their ability. Often slacking on optimizing their class or not knowing the basics of a boss fight we have to progress. I don't want to bash TL as 50% of the guild are an amazing group guys and girls. I just feel like it's time for me to move on and find a new home where people share the same goals as me, the same work ethic and the same attitude as me. A place where I can push myself as well as others around me to constantly improve.
Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance?
100% unless I somehow go outside my house :S (That's a joke ha ha...) yes, I can meet them 100%
We also raid on Sunday at the start of a new raiding tier. Are you aware of this?
No, but that is perfectly okay with me to get in as much content as possible.
Are you able to Listen and Speak on Teamspeak?
I have not used Teamspeak before. I am a discord pleb but I'm sure I can download and work with it. Yes I can listen and speak.
What qualities do you bring to a Raid?
I bring a high level of mechanical skill due to playing this game since release as 9 y/o this means I can learn boss fights quickly and choose the right decisions quickly. I also bring a positive friendly attitude and I can take a lot of stick which is key to improving as a person and player. I also own up to my mistakes and welcome people's opinions to tell me where I can improve.
How comfortable are you playing your offspecs?
Not comfortable playing Vengeance at mythic level but I can play all rogue specs to a similar level to my DH
How do you feel about progression raiding?
What else is there to do in WoW apart from progression raiding ? I enjoy wiping 24/7 until we down the boss that's how raiding has always been and will continue to be. It's a grind, a learning curve and an attitude builder. I enjoy giving 100% every single pull.
Where did you hear about Curse of Years and do you know anyone in the guild?
I don't know anyone in the guild but I've played on Arathor since vanilla so when I got back into the game around Legion I saw you guys were pushing very hard and admired that. I also said to myself if I was going to try my hardest to push mythic I'd apply here one day.
What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years?
Realizing TL did not have the same mindset as me is my sole reason. I am fairly loyal so wanting to leave them breaks my heart as some of the people in TL I have played WoW with for 2 years now. I want two things from a guild and they are to have great players that can help me improve and I may also be able to help them in return and secondly to have a friendly atmosphere during raids but an objective one (as in if someone or some people aren't doing great at their job in raids they are told that and they learn from that information and do not take it personally but as an encouragement to do better). CoY struck me as that type of guild as you have always pushed high mythic progression whilst parsing very well also. Which shows high mechanical skill and knowledge of the game (of class and boss mechanics).
Do you play outside of raid?
I play Mythic+ quite a bit. I got 3k+ back in legion on my rogue in S2 I think. Also hit rank 1 in BfA on Arathor a few times on DH and rogue early season. Got the Realm first 15 achievement back in September of last year. Just struggled to find a team to really push with on alliance side. Would happily push more if required.
Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?
Just a thank you for giving me your time and the opportunity to apply.
Tell us a joke: I'm not very funny as you saw from my previous joke but I am Asian and I'm also shit at math's. Which didn't go down to well with my parents. I also do a pretty good Shortround, from Indiana Jones impression.
