General:

Your Name, Age, Gender and Location:

I'm Chris, 28 years old male from Greece.

Tell us a little bit about yourself (non-WoW related Interests, Hobbies etc)

Being done with university and army duties, my life is revolved around my family, friends and work - somewhere in between i squeeze some WoW. I read a lot and try to maintain physical health by playing various sports.

Describe your choice of talents and why you've chosen them:
As a survival main this expansion, i'd infer there's two core builds for pve content. My go-to for mythic+ keys (except for Tyrannical) 3101022 which revolves around clearing aoe as efficiently as possible. For raids and Tyrannical week M+s i go for 3101021 or 1101021 depending on the fight.

How do you prioritize your stats and why?
I get my data from sims and pawn scales; having said that, haste is king [(or queen)yass] for my spec, close behind is crit and then versatility with the least efficient stat being mastery.

Where do you acquire knowledge about your Class?
Several discord servers, videos and streams a bunch, reddit off the top of my head; i'm genuinely interested in getting the most out of my character which leads to scraping more info here and there out of various sources.

What state is the state of your Heart of Azeroth?
Having been offline since 19 of November due to health-related issues, my HoA is admittedly a bit behind, 4 bars to 33.

Raiding History:

Describe your previous/current raiding experience:
I'm old enough to have played since 2005 at which point i didnt raid much. I raided at TBC and WOTLK for a good bit getting to clear everything. I then stopped playing after a month that Cata got out, following a race to realm first hunter 85 which i failed as i fell asleep. I started playing again, after 7 years, this past May. Content clearing could not concern me; having zero gear and-or curve-achievements at the end of the expansion proved to be very unforgiving, granted i had -at most- pretty mild interest in end game content after returning. This expansion i've only pugged the existing content, getting to as close as 2% hc ghuun 2nd week. Did not raid with my guild with the exception of 1 time (the time they killed G'huun hc for the first time) during which i had opinionated calls regarding the boss fights and approach. Could have gotten higher but solely relying on pugs for pve is not very enjoyable, plus from Nov 19 i simply could not play WoW.

Tell us about your previous guilds and your reasons for leaving them:
I've only been a part of this guild rather typically since it's the first i joined since returning to the game. I joined pretty unceremoniously, only typing 'LF guild' in /2 and getting an invite. The players in my current guild are a very pleasant folk, being polite but ultimately i do not pay to play this game just so i can have casual conversations. I started considering applying here in October but never got around to doing as i was having thoughts of quitting. I want to make the most of my gametime, should that mean mythic raiding or mythic+ or PvP. I relish the opportunity of being surrounded by guildmates with visions close to mine as regards to game progression, as much as i relish the opportunity to be active and vocal (should it be needed) in this environment.

Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance?
I'm flexible regarding the schedule and as it is it suits me quite nicely; So yes.

We also raid on Sunday at the start of a new raiding tier. Are you aware of this?
Yes, i like that very much.

Are you able to Listen and Speak on Teamspeak?
Yes

What qualities do you bring to a Raid?
Great knowledge of my class, enough experience to be a pretty solid raider and a very calm but competitive attitude all around. I keep my composure when mistakes happen (they do happen) and maintain a driven mindset.

How comfortable are you playing your offspecs?
Having been a sworn MM hunter, the spec i've played most heavily this expansion is Survival. To me that's very welcome as survival is very fun and produces good numbers dps-wise.I've played a moderate amount of BM and i played MM a bit; MM is also the spec i'm mostly looking forward to playing this patch. I was very high rated in PvP until i quit getting gladiator 3 seasons, 1 as BM and 2 as MM. Playing hunter seems natural to me and can mold into whatever the case may be -playing a melee hunter is a big no-no for people that love the archetypical ranger hunter, but i could not care less as long as it was fun and i could make it a worthwhile competition for everyone else.

How do you feel about progression raiding?
Inspired to get top 1 server with my guild.

Where did you hear about Curse of Years and do you know anyone in the guild?
Checking raid progressions in Arathor and checking fellow well-endowed hunters on the server, most of whom -horde side- were in Curse of Years. I mean i'm good at remembering stuff, so some names i remember from Wrath but i've never talked to anyone before. If people were in Maligned or Umbrage, their name rings a bell for sure.

What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years?
Trying to beat end-game content within a reasonably quick time-frame and being greatly opposed to cross-realm transfer. Besides the monetary aspect of it i'm sentimentally attached; i've been in Arathor almost immediately after it opened up. Most of my alts are here too and so i do not consider transferring to another server.

Do you play outside of raid?
Every end-game is a goal, whether that is raiding or mythics+ or PvP.

Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?
Ilvl which has fallen behind due to me not playing for 2 months should not be an issue as i'm willing and able to catch up quickly.

Tell us a joke:
Batteries are the most dramatic objects. Other things stop working, or they break, but batteries, they die. 'Why arent you listening to your walkman?' 'I cant. My batteries died in my lap this morning. They were so young... The twins are gone.'
If you're a battery you're with either working or you're dead.

Thank you for your application.

I'm afraid your current raid experience is too low for us to offer you trial.

Feel free to get back to us or reapply once you have caught up on gear and gotten some mythic raid experience.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Getting mythic experience in Arathor seems like an impossible task seeing as to how the state of the guild progression is.Every guild besides Curse of Years had at best 3/8 on mythic Uldir. I believe i can show i'm up to the task in HC BoD- at first- and later on ,should you want to, you can try me out in the easiest, or the toughest mythic encounters.
