Greetings dear recruitment officers of Curse of Years! I am Artemislòl and I am currently on Tarren Mill in a raiding guild called Crew. I am looking for a new raiding guild, due to me getting a new job where I simply won't have the time to make it home for the current raiding hours. I saw your guild on wowprogress and was very impressed with what you guys have written about your guild, especially with those late raiding hours, which is actually the main reason of why I chose to make this application.
My raiding prime in the Legion expansion was in Tomb of Sargeras, where I managed to achieve dps records on Tarren Mill for ret paladins and had serveral world wide front page logs for some time. Unfortunately due to studying and work, I couldn't continue beyond Fallen Avatar with Crew - Tarren Mill. I came back for Antorus for some time, but sadly I had to quit again due to work, studying and their raiding times (18:30 - 21:30 CET).
I would love to get a new chance and prove myself as a raider again, but this time in your guild. I can see that the guild have proven themselves on the mythic scene in every tier, and I want to be a part of that, and I truly believe that I can be a great asset to the raiding team!

Your Name, Age, Gender and Location:
Name: Lasse

Location: Denmark, Copenhagen.
Tell us a little bit about yourself (non-WoW related Interests, Hobbies etc)
My name is Lasse, I'm 21 years old and I'm from Denmark. I live in Copenhagen and I am currently taking a break from the books, which is why I am working a full time job as an IOS support. I plan to study mechanical engineering in a year or two. My interests apart from WoW are football, partying, spending some quality time with the lads and my girlfriend and seeing my family. Football is a very big hobby of mine, as I have played it ever since I was just a kid. It is a huge tradition in my family to watch our favourite team play every week, nevertheless the tournament.

Describe your choice of talents and why you've chosen them:
TIER 1: Righteous Verdict. - I have chosen Righteous Verdict, as it is the strongest single target talent for ret paladins atm. There are no AoE talents in this tier, so for me the choice was obvious, especially when combined with the legendary cloak Whispers of the Nathrezim. The cloak and the talent have a similar effect, as they both increase Templar's Verdict damage with 15%, which will therefor result in a damage increase at 30% to Templar's Verdict.
TIER 2: Hammer of Wrath. - I have chosen Hammer of Wrath because it is our strongest talent in this tier, due to it simming higher than the other talents ever so slightly. It also adds an ''execute phase'' to my rotation, which will ultimately result in a damage increase and increased holy power generation.
TIER 3: Fist of Justice. - I am currently using Fist of Justice because I personally like it better than my other choices in this tier. I can choose between Fist of Justice, Repentance and Blinding Light. I have no problem using the other talents at all, and will gladly use them if they are needed for the raid.
TIER 4: Wake of Ashes. - I am using Wake of Ashes due to it's reliability. It grants me 5 holy power instantly while it also does an ok amount of damage. The 5 holy power is really a huge damage increase, as it grants me access to a high amount of burst damage in the form of using 2x holy power spenders almost after each other. Consecration could be considered in AoE fights, but it is just not very reliable as it cannot be moved from where it is being placed, which is a huge issue in a raid where bosses and adds can be moved around due to tacts. Divine Judgment is simply a horrible talent at the moment and should not be considered.
TIER 5: Unbreakable spirit. - I have chosen this talent because it reduces cooldown on important spells such as Divine Shield, Lay on Hands and Shield of Vengeance. The reduced cd on Divine Shield and Lay on Hands will add some extra utility to the raid.
TIER 6: Word of Glory. - I am using Word of Glory, simply because it is without a doubt the best talent in this tier. It provides a big AoE heal and could potentially save some of my fellow raiders, compared to the other talents that only heal me for a less amount of what Word of Glory would.
TIER 7: Inquisition. - In this tier Inquisition is without a doubt the best choice, because I am using it with the legendary ring Soul of the Highlord, which grants me the Divine Purpose talent. Inquisition sims way higher than Crusade, so it was a very easy choice for me to make.
How do you prioritize your stats and why?
1. Strength;
2. Haste;
3. Critical Strike ~= Versatility ~= Mastery.
I prioritize my stats like this, due to haste being a very important part of the ret pala playstyle. Our holy power generator cd's are shorter the more haste we have, and our Art of War passive will have a higher chance of proccing due to the character doing more auto attacks.
Crit, Vers and Mastery are very close to each other in value, and I usually sim my character to see where the best balance will be in terms of these stats, even though my stat balance is a little fucked atm.
What state is your Artifact in?
Sacrificed
Where do you acquire knowledge about your Class?
I acquire knowledge about my class by simming talents, stats etc. I also watch a lot of guides and I follow tips from the ret paladin discord. (I put the tips and the guides to the test ofc by simming and practicing on training dummies)

Raiding History: I have a history of raiding tracing back to end bc, but it was really casual back then. I took raiding more serious in wotlk and raided with my older brother, but still nothing too serious. In Legion however, I started to raid way more seriously as my interest for competetiveness and greatness increased. As I wrote earlier, I had some realm records for ret paladins on Tarren Mill and I was among top 30 world wide on some of the ret pala logs as well.
Describe your previous/current raiding experience: I enjoyed my time in Crew - Tarren Mill. I have had nothing but great experiences with them, but I simply haven't had time to attend 100% of the raids.
Tell us about your previous guilds and your reasons for leaving them: I don't really feel like talking about past guilds apart from Crew. I could talk about some, but I don't feel like it would be relevant, as I haven't switched guild too many times in Legion. Crew is a really nice guild and is one of the oldest raiding guilds on Tarren Mill, tracing all the way back to MC in vanilla.
More Information:
Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance?
That shouldn't be a problem.
We are raiding Sundays at start of each Tier for 3-4 weeks. Are you aware of it?
Yes, I am aware.
Are you able to Listen and Speak on Teamspeak?
I am.
What qualities do you bring to a Raid?
Great team spirit, good dps / utility and an iron will.
How comfortable are you playing your offspecs?
I have no problem with playing one of my offspecs, but I would prefer to play my main spec.
How do you feel about progression raiding?
Progressing is a part of raiding, and I see no problem with progressing.
Where did you hear about Curse of Years and do you know anyone in the guild?
I do not know anyone in the guild, and I saw you guys on wowprogress
What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years?
I want to get back into raiding.
Do you play outside of raid?
I do yes.
Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?
For the moment being, no.
Tell us a joke: What do you call a bath full of paladins?.... A bubble bath! xd
