If you wish to apply to us, this is the place for you!

General:

Your Name, Age, Gender and Location:
Jake, 22, Male and classy Essex... UK!

Tell us a little bit about yourself (non-WoW related Interests, Hobbies etc)
Qualified Accountant and continuing to train, avid gym user and rugby player... you know the kind of guy who seems like they should have computer games but likes nothing better than to waste hours on them in my spare time. Whether that's in Wow, PUBG or some other decent releases.

Character Information:

Battletag: Pingu#2807

Describe your choice of talents and why you've chosen them:
Tier 1: Blooddrinker - Best damage and healing option within the tier even postnerf.
Tier 2: Rapid Decomposition - Extra runic power generation, which equals more damage and healing. Spectral Deflection is another valid choice on the tier which can be used for heavy hitting progress fights for safety, or just those high M+ tyrannical bosses.
Tier 3: Ossuary - Reduced Deathstrike cost, once again more damage and survivability through healing.
Tier 4: Red Thirst - Reduction on Vampiric Blood, not only useful for its HP gain but also the blood shield it provides afterwards. Great oh crap button especially when paired with the legendary belt.
Tier 5: Either Tightening Grasp or March of the Damned, dependant on adds/encounter.
Tier 6: Usually Foul Bulwark for the HP gain, however Rune Tap can be useful, mythic Odyn spears for example and Demon Phase Guldan.
Tier 7: Bonestorm or Bloodmirror depending on whether Aoe or ST damage. Purgatory can be used for safety on progress however if that procs, you're usually dead anyways.

How do you prioritize your stats and why?
Find it hard to give you a stat prio as a blood dk as this can be in many shapes or forms depending on survivability or damage.3
I tend to aim for between 25%-30% as this is where I feel comfortable as a blood dk.
I will then go for Mastery and Versatility if I am aiming for survival, or crit if I am going for damage alongside Mastery.
Currently I am playing a midbuild... I have my required amount of Haste, and relatively high Crit and Mastery, With versatility included.
I judge and see myself by my logs at being effective at outputting Damage and Self healing which is why I play this hybrid build, which may be better optimised with better gear pieces.

What state is your Artifact in?
56 traits in blood, with 52 in Frost and 45 in Unholy.

Where do you acquire knowledge about your Class?
I use the class discord a lot as there are plenty of skilled players and great theory crafters present. I will also look at logs above me to see if there are any glaring errors however this can differ depending on your raid/number of kills/set up etc.

Raiding History:

Raided hardcore when I was younger in WOTLK/First Cata tier, was server 2nd Resto shaman.
I then took a break and came back a few weeks before WODs released.
I played with some friends I met and cleared all HC Content and relative success in Highmaul Mythic, however the GM was casual and let the guild dispand in BRF.
I then joined a guild and cleared 5 bosses in HFC Mythic, we were placed in top20 server at that point but I had to quit due to RL problems.
Came back for prelegion and realised my friends I raided with in Highmaul had reformed on Kazzak. I then got "headhunted" by Primal - Defias Brotherhood a high ranking guild and cleared EN Mythic on my hunter, however the times where to early and I eventually came back to Halcyon again. I then helped them clear EN mythic and 2/3 ToV M before their merger went sour and we went down to a 10man core.
Since then we have struggled and recently have got up to 20, killed Krosus and after a few attempts on Bot, had him to around 20%
Describe your previous/current raiding experience:
My apologies seemed I answered a lot of this above.
But current:
7/7 EN M
2/3 TOV M
4/10 NH M - I personally believe and know this has been restricted due to not having 20 players, and feeling guilty for wanting to leave the guild.

Tell us about your previous guilds and your reasons for leaving them:
Halcyon - I left due to the GM not being harsh enough and letting slackers come through the raider ranks.
Primal - Defias Brotherhood: Requested I joined after seeing my hunters dps logs. Raided for around 2 months before the early starts where stopping my training
Current Guild: Back in Halcyon, and become MT after the merger went sour. New GM and Officer team took over, I found I could Raid lead and as a competent and skilled player, play by example as a tank.

More Information:

Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance?
Yes no Issues

We are raiding Sundays at start of each Tier for 3-4 weeks. Are you aware of it?
Yeah cant complain about wanting extra progress.

Are you able to Listen and Speak on Teamspeak?
I can listen and have a working mic

What qualities do you bring to a Raid?
I bring a skilled, 100% prepared raider who wants to achieve cutting edge without sacrificing my whole life. I always come with flasks/pots/food and will know tactics inside out. I can also take fair criticism but will not be afraid to defend an action if I feel it is being unfairly put down.

How do you feel about progression raiding?
The same above really, all should come prepared and be 100% focuses for the short raid hours we have, in order to achieve cutting edge within the short time frame, whilst also maintaining a real life. I believe WoW revolves around progress raiding, its all I want to do.

Where did you hear about Curse of Years and do you know anyone in the guild?
Nagassh message me after seeing my WoWprogress and after doing my own research on yourselves, it seems like a guild I can fit into.

What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years?
Nagassh's message regarding looking for a tank, and the thought of effective progress raiding.

Do you play outside of raid?
Yes I will always be farming Mythic +s for AP/gear whether that be on a main or an alt. Usually floating around the voice coms no matter what game I'm playing.

Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?
Just like to say although I only have 4/10NH M kills, I purely believe this is down to a struggling roster. I believe my logs, although HC show I can play Blood DK with top percentiles in both Damage and Healing, which I seem to normally only see one or the other when analysing other Blood DKS. I'm a quick learner who also puts in the work researching in order to keep raiding time learning down to a minimum and purely use that for refining strats rather than basic tank mechanics. I also have 7 blood legendaries and 2 Frost (Sephuz etc included in blood) but am still farming for the Chest and Shoulder legendaries which become top two come 7.2.5

Tell us a joke:

Your mumma is so hairy the only language she speaks is wookie!.... Bad but gets my everytime

Thanks for your time <- Not a joke
