If you wish to apply to us, this is the place for you!

:: Personal Information ::

Name: Henry Gale
Age/Gender: 24 / Male
Where are you from? United Kingdom - Bristol
Something about yourself? I'm an IT Consultant working in the centre of Bristol, I spend a lot of time working, and the rest playing wow and chatting to my friends, and helping out my girlfriend with her two children. I have self-taught LUA experience, and can easily update/fix any out of date of addons I find with expansions.
Your PC/connection (use speedtest.net): 100Mb/20Mb - http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3913918175

Your choice of talents and glyphs: My choice of talents and glyphs can very much vary per fight - below explains which one I will pick based on the fight.
Talents:
  • Tier 75 -Twist of fate is used on any encounter where the buff can be kept up at a very high percentage - it's fantastic on any fight with adds. Shadowy Insight is used on any single target only fight, as I would be unable to keep ToF up for a good percentage of the fight.
  • Tier 90 - Since the change to healing, Halo is the best choice for the majority of fights. In case of a small enclosure fight, I would choose Divine star for the consistent damage.
  • Tier 100 - Currently, the best choice by far is Clarity of Power and Dotweaving. This allows for consistent damage while moving as well, and not being reliant on standing still for Mindflay. Auspicious Spirits may become a better choice as the gear level goes up and it is easier to stack crit.
Glyphs:
  • Reflective shield - due to this glyph now reflecting almost all damage done when it pops, this beats a lot of the other major glyphs, especially as casting PW:S on ourselves has become part of the rotation.
  • Shadow Word: Death - While playing CoP Dotweave, it's important to be able to do damage while moving. This glyph allows me to cast SW:D while moving, which works out to be more damage than spamming a SW:P tick.
  • Glyph of Mind Flay - The most optional glyph here, I personally use it because the speed boost is amazing while raiding. It allows to quick thinking out of situations, or for squeezing in that last bit of DPS before moving if needed. This glyph however is very easily swap-out-able for something else.
Screenshot of your UI (in raid group and on boss fight!): http://www.padkipz.co.uk/images/padui.jpg - this is how my UI looks currently. I have changed it a bit since the end of MoP, and unfortunately don't have a screenshot of when I was raiding. During a raid, the difference are that Grid expands down towards the chat box, and allows me to easily see debuffs on other players, specifically Weakened Soul, so I know if I am able to shield someone if the needed arise, and on the right hand side, I have boss nameplates, along with big wigs timers, which then move across to the middle of my screen if I need to notice them more.
Link to your logs/vidoes (WoL etc): Unfortunately any logs I had have long gone. Once AskMrRobot brings their logs back online, I can show you a few semi-recent ones I took while testing it out.
Can you play your Offspec? I have a lot of experience as dicipline, which was my main spec up until the end of burning crusade. I have since then kept up on how the spec works, and was offhealing for MoP.
Link your alts armory: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/a ... z/advanced and I also have a level 90 monk which isn't showing on armory at the moment.

:: Additional Information ::

Your previous guilds (and why you left): This is a somewhat long list as it dates back to TBC, but I will summerise:
  • TBC - this is when I started to find my love for the game, and after quickly hitting 70, I jumped in with a guild called Legion of Faith to gain raiding experience. I raided with them and did the lower-level raids before joining a guild called Isolated Singularity, which was a spin-off of the old Mythical Honor lot. With them I raided all the way to the end of Sunwell.
  • WotLK - When wrath hit, I changed servers to Kul'Tirus and joined a guild called Behind my Camel. I did all the WotLK raids with them up until 25m HC lich king.
  • Cata - When Cata hit, I started up a guild on the same server with some real life friends. We raided everything up until firelands hit, at which point we got rather bored of wow and how easy it had become as decided to take a break.
  • MoP - Because most of my friends had stopped playing on Kul'tirus, I switched realms to join another friend on Auchidoun. I raided the majority of Panda with them (I did join Panda quite late though), and we ended up going 4/14HC SoO before the guild disbanded and I was forced to look elsewhere.
  • WoD - Now with WoD on our fingertips, I'm looking for a stable, good and fun raiding guild to join. I'm currently hanging around with a lot of old friends in Royal Kitled Yaksmen while looking for a new guild.
Your previous raid experience:A more detailed description in the question above, but a summary here:
  • Classic - none at the current time.
  • TBC - Karazhan: 10/10
    Zul'Aman: 6/6
    Gruul: 2/2
    Mag: 1/1
    Serpentshrine: 6/6
    TK: The eye: 4/4
    Hyjal: 5/5
    BT: 9/9
    Sunwell: 8/8
  • WotLK - Naxx: 15/15
    ICC: 12/12 (including HC)
Ulduar: 13/14 (Including some on the hardmode, never managed to kill Alagon at the time though).
  • Cata - Blackwing Decent: 6/6 (Including HC)
Bastion of Twilight: 5/5 (Including HC)
Throne of the four winds: 2/2 (Including HC)
  • MoP - Siege of Org: 14/14 Normal, 4/14 HC.
How our guild can benefit from you? I'm a very dedicated and fun player. I love to min-max my class completely, and get the best possible outcome I can.
Would you be willing to modify or change your spec to assist the guild? I'd happily heal if needed, but I do prefer to DPS.

:: Bit more about you ::

Can you talk and listen on TS? I'm able to do both.
Are you able to attend all days we are raiding (Wed/Thu/Mon)? I can attend all of those raid days.
What is your attitude towards progress/what motivate you in WoW? I aboslutley love to progress in raids. I have fond memories of how hard the game used to be and how progress was something that would tire you out completely! I strive to give the same passion now as I did back then, and will gladly wipe for nights on end to progress without a single complaint.
Do you play outside raids or log only for them? I play WoW all the time outside of raiding.
Why you want to join us? As said above, I would love to find a stable, good and fun raiding guild to join for WoD and the future. I'm looking for a guild that has the same view on raiding as I do (semi-hardcore with a love for progression), as well as being able to enjoy each others company and have a good laugh.

Sorry for huge delay in answering your post, we do not ignore you. Our delay is force like said above by our preparation for new raids to come.

Your application generally looks good, I would like to ask you about your HC experience. Is that all done when content was current or you killed some after nerfs/later (wow armory might be wrong in it, tho I'm asking)?

I will get to you tonight again with some answers.

No worries on the delay - I understand why, it's been an amazing expansion so far :)

In TBC I wasn't able to kill Vashj or Kael before the nerfs, they were both post-nerf.
In WotLK I was able to kill LK 25M on HC at the current time with BMC (Behind my Camel)
In Cata I'm 90% sure it was current, but if I'm honest it may not have been. My memory for Cata is quite fuzzy as I didn't enjoy the expansion anywhere near as much as others.
In MoP, my SoO HC kill were current.

Armory might be wrong due to the fact this is not the same priest as I have played on other servers. It's probably worth noting that I do have several priests (read 10+) dotted around on other servers that I have played in the past.

We are currently having a debate if we need another Shadow Priest and if we would not feel overwhelmed with them. How are your thoughts on Holy/Disc priests?

I can play disc on a mediocre level, but despite keeping up on all the relevant play-styles with the spec, I still haven't played it properly for a good few years. Not to say I couldn't pick it up again if needed though.

Holy I'm much less fond on, it doesn't fit my play-style as well as Disc or Shadow do, but I'd be willing to give it a try as a last resort type thing :P

Shadow is still really my proper love with the class, especially considering I've been playing it for almost 7 years now! Preferably I'd at least like to give Shadow a shot, and if it turns out you can't utilize another one, swap specs.

I understand. Due to recent events (one of our healers did return to raiding) I will have to for now decline your application as for Shadow currently we have no space. Although this might change in upcoming week if you are willing to wait for it.

Cheers,
Y.

Happy to wait.

I will continue looking around, but there aren't many more guilds to choose from without transferring realms.

I'll check back here every now and then just in case :)

Thanks for your time!
