General:

Your Name, Age, Gender and Location: Claire, 32, Female, Newcastle upon Tyne

Tell us a little bit about yourself (non-WoW related Interests, Hobbies etc):

Haaaaaai, don't really like talking about myself tbh. Lets see, gaming is ofc is a hobby not just WoW but many others. Farcry, Ghost recon, GTA and Resident Evil to name a few. I love spending time with my 2 dogs on walks etc and ofc love cycling and have recently started body building. However i have just recently purchased a Kawasaki ER6f (Motorbike for those who aren't sure) and can't wait to give her a test ride. ATM its peeing down and ofc there is a slight issue of not having a full licence yet!!

Battletag:

Describe your choice of talents and why you've chosen them:
In regards to my talent build it is the cookie cutter build based on the Breath of Sindy playstyle rather than the machine gun playstyle mainly seen in mythic+ dungeons. It provides the best chance of pushing the most from your character on a base level. My knowledge and experience provide the rest. 1,2,3,6 and 7 are the standard selections. 4 and 5 are down to personal preference. I chose Winter is Coming as my 4th talent because im a HUGE GoT fan... nah its mainly down to the stun it can be handy in fights/trash that need CC'd. 5th Talent is a survival CD and AMS has always been a favorite since most bosses output magic damage.

How do you prioritize your stats and why?
My stats are prioritized as follows;
Strength
Critical Strike (until 25%)
Haste (until 20%)
Critical Strike
Versatility = Haste = Mastery.
ATM i am way over the crit rating due to gear drops etc which is why i have gemmed and enchanted for Haste. To at least try and balance it out. I regularly sim my character so the above stat do drop and rise depending on what i need at the time.

What state is your Artifact in?
I am currently sitting on level 50 artifact rank and 37 knowledge, however i will be 52 by the end of the day. I have been on holiday for 2 weeks and literally only got back a few hours ago. I have continued to do follower quests and have a crazy amount of AP sitting in my bags ready to go.

Where do you acquire knowledge about your Class?
I acquire knowledge direct from a number of sources including Icy Veins, MMO, Reddit and ofc Youtube videos

Raiding History:

Describe your previous/current raiding experience:
WotLK:
25 Man raiding unless stated.
Ulduar - 14/14 – Infinity (Terokkar)
TOGC - 4/5 (TOGC 5/5 in 10 man) Unification (Terokkar)
ICC - 11/12 – Unification (Terokkar)
RS – HC Halion 10 Man – Unification (Terokkar)

Cataclysm:
BOT – 4/4 HC – Unification (Terokkar)
BWD – 6/6 HC – Unification (Terokkar)
TOFW – 2/2 HC - Unification (Terokkar)
DS 8/8 HC – Unification (Terokkar)

MoP:
MSV – 6/6 HC Pre-nerf -Unification/Desolution (Twisting Nether, same guild just x-fered server)
HOF – 2/6 HC – Desolution (Twisting Nether)
ToT – 13/13 HC – Conviction (Arathor)
SoO – 8/14HC – Conviction (Arathor) then 14/14HC with Myst (Draenor)

WoD: Took a casual break then picked up mythic raiding again in BRF
BRF - 10/10 - Contingency/Wasted Talent (Terokkar) Same guild but merged with another
HFC - 13/13 - Wasted Talent (Terokkar)

Legion -
EN - 7/7 Mythic on Zale (Druid)
NH 8/10 Mythic with alot of progress on Elisande.

Tell us about your previous guilds and your reasons for leaving them:
Unification/Desolution: All the same guild with mergers to keep going. Eventually even after x-fering recruitment slowed we were forced to drop to 10 man raiding during ToT progression. I hated 10 man raiding and loved the complexity of 25 man so i left to find another guild.

Conviction: Joined conviction during TOT progression and stayed with them through SoO. Lost alot of key raiders and the new recruits weren't used to mythic raiding. The standard of raiding dropped as fast as a boulder off a cliff. Farm bosses turned into progression bosses, i stuck with them until progression started going backwards then i took the difficult decision to leave and test my hand at hardcore raiding.

Myst: Finished off the rest of the expansion with Myst, then just before the release of WoD work changed my rota. Myst required 100% attendance during progression and i just could no longer do this. IRL threw a spanner in the works.

Contingency/Wasted Talent: Spent most of WoD with them but with work i was on average getting 4hrs of sleep per night when i was on earlies starting at 03:30am. I lasted for the rest of the expansion but 4/5 days raiding per week eventually took its toll. I have to make the hard decision and chose to cut down the number of raiding days.

Conviction: Re-banded together for Legion, but again the raiding days during the week are difficult. I agreed to just be a spot filler to make up the numbers which i did with my druid since my DK was still on Terokkar. With the buffs then to frost dks I agreed to reroll for NH back to my DK still as a spot filler. However the guild was never meant to be and effectively disbanded 28/3/17 RIP.

ANE: Joined right after Conviction disbanded mainly because i had already raided with some of their members in my 1st real raiding guild Unification. When logging in today i was welcomed by a GMoTD that they had x-fered over to Tauren Mill and we were to move over. As i explained to Nagassh, after just getting back and having home improvements on the go. I can't really justify spending cash on x-fering mains and alts to another realm.

More Information:

Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance?
I work a 7 week shift pattern, part of this is 2 weeks of late working. 5 out of 7 weeks i can at least make 95/100% of raids however during the 2 weeks of lates i won't be able to make the 90% attendance.

We are raiding Sundays at start of each Tier for 3-4 weeks. Are you aware of it?
Yes, and i can make all.

Are you able to Listen and Speak on Teamspeak?
Yes and i can even sing too!

What qualities do you bring to a Raid?
Good sustained cleave damage and strong short burst AoE damage, as a person I bring resolve and determination to push my character as far as it can go to benefit the guild. Quick learner and rarely make the same mistake twice.

How do you feel about progression raiding?
I have been competing in raids with other guilds for the entirety of my WoW career sort of speak. I am used to the pressures of Rank 1 on the server. Being part of a top 100 guild these are nothing new to me. I absolutely love it.

Where did you hear about Curse of Years and do you know anyone in the guild?
I have known about the guild for a substantial amount of time since we raid on the same realm. I know quite a few of your players, Dagz, Gnarl, Siccy, Zastin and Benji just to name a few off the top of my head.

What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years?
Dagz, he used his smutty ways and passionate way of words to convince me to apply.

Do you play outside of raid?
Yes, i am always on the look out for m+, mog runs, HCs and ofc those dailies we all love so much. I am also an achievement whore if i loved pvp my point tally would be sooo much higher :D

Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?
My goals have been the same through every expansion. Push my character to the very limit and help my guild progress, while having fun and making fun of those who roll or disengage of platforms :p I have worked tirelessly to get that weapon as high as possible during my recent downtime on holiday and 50 is where it stands atm I am grinding out AP and will continue to do so. I really want to get my teeth into progression raiding and with your raid times I feel i can do that and contribute to the guild.

Tell us a joke:

Teacher: "Anyone who thinks he's stupid may stand up!"
*Nobody stands up*

Teacher: "I'm sure there are some stupid students over here!!"
*Little Johnny stands up*

Teacher: "Ohh, Johnny you think you're stupid?"

Little Johnny: "No. i just feel bad that you're standing alone"

Laisi, Sorry it's taken me this long to get back to you with a response, we've discussed your applications at length, and have come to the conclusion that we're unable to offer you a trial in Curse of Years. the main reason for this being: attendance, we've always ran somewhat of a smaller roster than most guilds, and we require super high attendance. Having a core raider unable to guarantee high attendance every 7 or so weeks would cause us too many issues, especially during progress. since usually you wish to stick to the team you've been progressing a fight with.

We truly wish you the best of luck searching for a guild.
