General:

Your Name, Age, Gender and Location: Cody Wood, 17, Male and from London, England.

Tell us a little bit about yourself (non-WoW related Interests, Hobbies etc) : I mean I'm on WoW pretty much most hours of the day with a passion for gaming (specifically this game) but I play guitar and skate sometimes in my spare time

Battletag: Coodywoo#2582

Describe your choice of talents and why you've chosen them:

Tier 1 - I take Lonely Winter as it's a nice passive damage increase to just forget about and the highest simming talent option.
Tier 2 - I take Shimmer for most fights as it brings a lot of utility to help with mechanics (two blinks to soak far cakes on Trilliax, a shimmer+iceblock macro to solo soak my bond on gul'dan) but Ice Floes is a viable alternative for more light movement, or something like Volcanic in m+
Tier 3 - Incanters Flow. Again, another nice passive damage boost and the highest simming option for any number of targets.
Tier 4 - Frozen Touch for single target fights. For fights with 2+ targets / priority adds (lashers on Botanist) I take Splitting Ice.
Tier 5 - Not the most useful talent row but I take frigid winds as the higher slow can help teammates kite fixated adds for example.
Tier 6 - Unstable Magic is the go to for pure single target but as soon as a 2nd target is involved in a fight I will take Arctic Gale.
Tier 7 - Thermal Void is the only viable option.

How do you prioritize your stats and why?: Crit (to ~33%) > Haste > Versa > Mastery
Reaching as close to this 33% crit cap as possible ensures 100 percent crit chance on FoF procs / ice lances after BF procs.
Haste is the next best stat (gcd, more frostbolts = more procs, blizzard cooldown etc.)
Versa comes in after haste as a nice damage boost.
Mastery is our worst stat as the icicles don't tend to do a lot of damage and with the Lonely Winter talent I don't benefit from the increased water elemental damage.

What state is your Artifact in?: 43 traits and counting in frost, 39 in fire and 38 in arcane. Before the reset i was 54 frost, 54 fire, and 46 arcane.

Where do you acquire knowledge about your Class?: Icy Veins, Altered Time forums/discord, and any changes to come on MMOchampion, as well as watching high end frost mage streamers.

Raiding History:

Describe your previous/current raiding experience:
7/7M EN, 2/3M ToV, 6/10M nighthold.
I began raiding around october-november in this expansion and I believe I have made significant progress.

Tell us about your previous guilds and your reasons for leaving them:
Proud - Magtheridon was my starting point for raiding. A good guild with friendly players for people who wanted to relax in a 2 day a week guild, but after a while I wanted to push myself more and more and they lacked the drive/passion I had.
Soon after this I joined the guild Under Achievers - Magtheridon. Again another very fun guild with friendly players, but progression was very slow and an opportunity arose to play with a lot of my IRL friends in a guild.
This guild was Endemic - Draenor where I achieved 6/10m. My time here was short lived as the atmosphere was very bad and the guild had management issues, so I was convinced to rejoin Under Achievers. I am now seeking another guild as the roster issues are making progression impossible.

More Information:

Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance?: Absolutely.

We are raiding Sundays at start of each Tier for 3-4 weeks. Are you aware of it?: Yes I am and it sounds good to me :)

Are you able to Listen and Speak on Teamspeak?: Yes

What qualities do you bring to a Raid?: Knowledge of fights and my class (viable offspecs) fully prepared with my consumables and enchants as well as being calm and always having a willingness to progress and improve.

How do you feel about progression raiding?: honestly one of the most fun things to do in the game all things considered.

Where did you hear about Curse of Years and do you know anyone in the guild?: I used to raid with 2 current trials in the guild back in proud around 5 or so months ago now.

What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years?: See above, my guilds slow decline and two ex guildies joining here.

Do you play outside of raid?: Almost every day

Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?: I'm available at most hours of the day and always willing to chat on battlenet. I can bring viable offspecs that can be switched to if the encounter requires it as well as a viable destruction warlock alt.

I enjoy playing alts a lot but I don't let it distract from progressing my main.

Sorry for the slow response, wasn't the easiest choice to make since the logs were good, but we're going to decline I'm afraid.
