  • What spec you'r playing and what you can tell us about it (inc. talents, glyphs, most important usage of your abilities)?:
    http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/bronze-dragonflight/Nyanika/advanced
    Main Spec: Brewmaster
    Talents:
Tier 1: I mostly run with Tiger's Lust as it's the most useful. Haven't found a fight where the other talents in this tier are better.
Tier 2: Default choice here is Chi Wave, but recently I've found that Chi Burst is useful as there are a higher number of fights where people are grouped up. The burst of healing really helps (especially with a lot of resolve )
Tier 3: Pretty close between Ascension and Power Strikes in terms of chi generation, but I prefer the predictability of Ascension. That coupled with the ability to store up that extra chi for emergencies or burst gives ascension the edge for me.
Tier 4: Not much choice here. I prefer to go with Leg Sweep. The Ox was nice for ranged control, but now that Dizying haze is free Leg sweep tends to work best for stopping incomming damage for enough time to burn down adds or at least allow the healers to catch up.
Tier 5: Depending on the fight I either go with Dampen Harm or Diffuse Magic. Dampen Harm for physical, Diffuse Magic for magical damage.
Tier 6: Rushing Jade Wind for fights with a lot of adds ( eg. Beast Lord ), Xuen for fights with just the boss ( eg. Gruul )
Tier 7: Serenity is the only choice.

    Glyphs:
I usually run with Breath of Fire, Fortifying Brew, and Zen Meditation, but others I consider are Guard and Touch of Death.

Brewmaster are pretty good at smoothing and mitigating a lot of damage. Keeping as close to 100% uptime on shuffle is mandatory, with elusive brew used as much as possible. With heavy incomming damage I use Guard on CD, while purifying all heavy stagger damage.
If the incomming damage isn't too bad I tend to keep Guard for the burst moments ( eg. Acid Torrent on Oregorger, or Flame Lash on Gruul ).
I've found that the monk specialises in mitigating very heavy burst damage with little or no ramp time on resources. Fortifying Brew is excellant at smoothing out prolonged heavy damage.

  • What stats are you prioritize?:
Basic Stat Priorities for the Monk are :
    Agility > Bonus Armor > Versatility > Mastery > Multistrike > Crit > Haste
Although with the 2 Set Bonus from T17 I would raise Crit in Priority over Multistrike and almost equal to Mastery.

For tight DPS fights I would go with :
    Agility > Bonus Armor > Crit > Multistrike > Versatility >= Mastery > Haste
I do have some offspec peices that I can swap in to change stat priorities as needed.

  • Where do you acquire information and knowledge about your class?:
I browse Icy-Veins and Noxxic for basic information, but I prefer to read ElitistJerks.com, SunniersArtOfWar.com, and the MMO-Champion class forums for better class knowledge.
I like to follow links in boss fights just in case there are some class specific tips for each fight.

  • Share your guild history as well as reason for leaving them and your current guild ?:
I started raiding in Wrath with a guild called Redux, raiding on my Warlock ( Velsharoon ).
I raided with Redux for 5 months around the time Ulduar and trial came out. Unfortunately the core raiding team either left the game or left the guild / Server leaving the remaining members very inexperienced and not very commited to raiding so I left to Join Animosity in search of more competitive raiding.
I raided with Animosity for 2 months until the guild disbanded and I returned to Redux to raid with friends.
I joined Void Zone briefly, again for some competitive raiding, just as they were breaking up and planning to merge with another guild, so there wasn't much raiding going on so I rejoined Redux. I left to join Nihilo, again for better raiding experience and stayed with them for 4 months until the GM decided he'd had enough and disbanded the guild. It was around this time that I applied and joined League of Shadows on my Priest ( Caderley ). I've been with League of Shadows since the end of November 2010. In that time I have Played my Priest as a main Healer until MoP when I rerolled to a monk healer to start with, but found that I played better ( and offered more to the raid ) as a tank and hve been raiding as main tank with the guild since Throne of Thunder.

More Information..

  • Raid times: Can you agree with our raid times 21:00 to 00:00 Server time (UTC+1 also Sunday for extra raids)?:
    wednesday, thursday, sunday, monday
  • Teamspeak: Can you use, SPEAK and LISTEN to Teamspeak?:
    Yes
  • You and us: Would you be willing to modify or change your spec to assist the guild?:
    Yes
  • What our guild can benefit from your class and yourself as a player?:
From the class you get steady control of incomming damage as well as excellant control of incomming adds.

From me you would get a dedicated and passionate raider, who is willing to listen, learn, and provide as much insight as I can wherever it is needed, and probably wherever it isn't as well. I've been raid leading for a while and it has given me a nice pool of experience in analysing fights.

  • What is your attitude towards progress/what motivate you in WoW?:
My passion in this game is raiding. I enjoy it more than anything else in the game. The idea of killing difficult bosses as a team is something I truely enjoy.
Progress is really what the game is about. If I'm not pushing myself ( and others ) to improve and do better I get bored with the game, and it becomes just another means to hang out with friends and socialise.

  • Why would you like to play with us? What we got that others don't?:
I've kept in touch with a friend from Animosity (Sarah) and asked if there might be a place for me as I am looking for a higher calibre of challange. I feel that the League of Shadows has reached it's peak in ability and I am feeling frustrated at the lack of progress.
You got a friend of mine in your guild, and you might offer me a chance of more challanging fights. :D

  • Do you play outside raids or log only for them?:
I log in to upkeep my alts and I like to run LFR's and PuG Raids on them, but mainly I play this game for the progression raiding. Most of my activity is geared towards that.
If I'm asked to help guildies with other activities I gladly switch to whatever is required, but if given the choice I would just run progression raids 100% of the time I am online. :D

  • Anything to add?:
Not that I can think of, but then again I'm not really good at filling out applications like this.
I'm willing to answer any questions you might have. :)

  • Tell us a joke:
Talk is cheap. Supply exceeds Demand. :D

Hi,
Sadly we have no space for Brewmaster spec'd monk as we are very stable with offspec tanks currently while having a stable tanking duo all the time.

Have to reject your application.

Cheers,
Y.
