Describe your choice of talents and why you've chosen them:
Lvl 15: I pick Crusader’s Might. Atm while GlimmerHealing is the way to go for Hpala it’s simply a must, reducing the cd of your core abilities is invaluable, and it’s a great way to also do some damage(just a nice bonus).
Lvl 30: Rule of Law is the go to in almost every single scenario, increases range of heals AND mastery(Hpala mastery increases your healing depending distance, the closer the better), which is amazing, I do believe there are instances Cavalier could be good, but mostly for people having a struggle with personal mechanics.
Lvl 45: Usually doesn’t matter at all, the only time “recently” I can remember where it did matter was King Rastakhan, where I took Repentance to help out with cc’ing the 3 mobs during his bossfight.
If there’s multiple small adds, such as it was with the fight before Rastakhan, with the raptors. I went Fist of Justice. simply to have a bit more stun, goes well with Crusader’s Might, so that’s neat, means you can have a long stun ready in half the time~ again.
Lvl 60: Devotion Aura all the way! Aura of Mercy is purely to squeeze in some more healing, but it’s so little and irrelevant with the numbers that it’s a waste in almost all scenarios. Especially because you’d be giving up constant reduced damage(it’s only 1% per person if there’s 10near the boss, but it’s something, active effect is the real buster.) which can be made into 20% reduced damage onto an entire raid. That’s a lot of healing saved and damage mitigated, the perfect part is you can save it as a CD in-case there MIGHT be a lot of damage where people can’t stack up!
And I won’t even mention Aura of Sacrifice, it got nerfed so bad it’s crap, used to be amazing for insane burst damage fights though.
Lvl 75: Holy Avenger is unquestionably the best. Haste being your strongest stat is increased, while your Holy Shock(main healing spell) has reduced cd. It’s too good to not touch.
Lvl 90: Sanctified Wrath. Again an extreme buff to your HolyShock, along with that buff you get, lasting for longer, this paired with the ret trait, Light’s Decree just adds even more time to it. Not to mention the essence, Vision of Perfection. Which can make your wings proc with each cast and have a lower CD and, gains effect from the before mentioned traits and talents as well. Turning the Hpaladin into an absolute beast, able to actually solo heal certain fights.
Lvl 100: And at last we have Divine Purpose which is dominating. Seeing how it has a 20% of removing the CD from the spell it was cast by, and removing mana cost of said spell, it is extremely good, and the godly trigger to this is that it just so happens, it’s our 2 healing spells we use over and over again.
This paired with all the other traits, talents and essences is why the GlimmerHealing Paladin stands out, and has the potential to shine through. It is a high risk high reward healing style though, as it requires your full attention every single moment. The other talents are meaningless.
How do you prioritize your stats and why?
Stats are as follows: Haste>Mastery>Crit=Versa>Int
Personally I prefer crit over versa because your holy shock critting allows for a Holy Light or Flash of Light to be an empowered heal which can in dire situations be good to have. But..! For overall healing versa will have a slight edge due to the simple % increase in raw numbers.
But haste is, the, ultimate GH stat, with mastery nicely following behind. Haste simply allowing us to cast our spells faster(those that have a cast-time). But the real deal here is the fact it simply reduces the CD on our 2 most used healing spells, Holy Shock and Light of Dawn.
Where do you acquire knowledge about your Class?
I check warcraftlogs from time to time while raiding, to keep updated and see what the best people in the world can do.
I usually follow the world first race which sometimes showcases interesting scenarios or ways of doing things(not so much rotationwise, more mechanically).
Paladin Discord, Icy-veins(Icy-veins is sometimes a bit slow having updates on the top builds though), wowhead, sometimes scouring through mmo-champion.

The last link is messed up, Idk how they changed it in a way so I can make warcraftlogs look like they used to as with the other links. There’s no logs for 4th, 5th and 6th boss BoD cause the ones I did it with never made their logs public, sorry.
Raiding History:
Describe your previous/current raiding experience:
I ventured into raiding beginning of Cataclysm, it was purely normal, I did it as priest holy/disc in a Danish guild that died long ago. We cleared all of the 3 1st raids, and with the beginning of FL I left, cause a druid healer joined and he bullied me. As I was a kid I simply stopped and left the game, taking a break(don’t remember name, but it was on ED, and the guild died long ago).
I have a bit on/off with wow until mid/late ToT where I join Battleragers-EmeraldDream, a guild that used to be top, and since they didn’t raid I didn’t really get to either. Then eventually I got in contact with some of the people from the Danish guild, I joined and we barely managed to kill the 1st 3 bosses on normal.
Some guys left the guild and that’s when it started dying, I started pugging and eventually found an English speaking guild in late ToT. They were called Made in Gnomeregan, we manage to kill everything on normal and that’s kinda it, the guild dies and I don’t really raid until a bit into SoO.
First I joined a guild that focused on Flex Raiding, trying that out, but too few people, so it died.
I joined a top guild.... on their 4th team which again, nothing but flex raiding, and not even much further than the first few bosses(that and they wanted me as shadow, healing ftw).
Eventually, midway through SoO, a new guild comes to the server, I join their normal raid the first night and we get to clear everything till Paragons. The RL/GM of the guild asks if I might be interested, I said I was, but that I wanted to leave the other team properly.
The guy that led the 4th team in SoO said he was sad to see me go, but completely understood as we barely did flex-raiding.
And then my raiding adventure REALLY begins.
We clear everything on HC(10man, and we are a 25m raiding guild), during x-mas there’s too few people, so we go 10man, and eventually clear. After Christmas we continue 25m, but there’s drama between the healing officer and RL, so the healer leaves, and from there the guild kinda just dies slowly.
Some leave, we try to poach a merge which lasts for a few weeks before they move on, and as the guild stops raiding, I leave it(Don’t remember the name, it’s died long ago).
I swap to horde as there’s too few alliance guilds, and I join a cross-server pug with Vanguard-Kazzak, they’re pretty good and they offer me a trial, which I accept, and I am then there trialing for 2months.
At this point, with the new expansion/raids being on PTR, and the numbers dwindling from 25-20 for M, it becomes obvious that 6 healers, are too many. As they already had another disc priest, with more experience, for longer in the guild, and me never getting a response from the GM about my position. I make the decision that I need more experience and to be able to do more, before a guild at that level is possible.
I send a longer message explaining it, and never got a response, though I chatted a bit with the healing officer for a while. He told me GM simply was busy and didn’t know exactly what to do with me.
At this point in time, the people that joined the guild on Emerald Dream, but moved on, has established a guild on Draenor-Horde, known as Lucid, and they want to expand from being a 10m, to 25m, to go strong into 20m mythic with the new expansion.
Their GM/RL couple begged me for a while to come, and since Vanguard never got further, I went there, and raided for approximately 2 years.~
They taught me much and we cleared everything on Mythic which was amazing, but the good times didn’t last.
As it is with guild around world rank 1000, there’s a lot of other guilds as well in that level of progression, meaning it’s hard to get new people.
Eventually, so many people slowly leave early/mid Hellfire Citadel, that we can’t get in good enough people to continue that level of raiding.
We manage to clear most of the raid, but as our MT says he’ll leave, we go on a break for 2 weeks, trying to recruit new people in the time.
Sadly after just a few days, multiple people leave, 4-6people went to another server and I opened up for recruiting, as the GM and RL decides it can’t be done.
I am looking about around for guilds on the server, I make an application for a guild(don’t remember their name). Nicely put, they weren’t nice, they’d contact me, trying to aggravate me, because how dared I apply to a guild above my level, that’s apparently a sin.
Eventually Shadohw, the RL of Luce contacts me on Draenor, saying he’s heard about me from the warrior that joined them, that I healed in Lucid.
Would I be interested in a trial? That very same day I joined their guild to trial.
I die on the 2nd boss to a stupid mistake, I somewhat manage the other bosses, even the ones I haven’t killed. And it just so happens, they’re roughly 270~ wipes in on Archimonde, and their disc priest can’t raid this Sunday, so without any exp, I am in for that guy. We get him down to I think it was .5% as the closest, and then before the evening is over, their priest comes back and they get the kill with him in(which was awesome tbh, since he’d been there for the 270 other attempts and deserved the kill!).
They let me into the guild as a raider and now that everything is on farm, me and the other priest rotate, sometimes with the other healers as well.
As we’re 2 priests, and the Hpala doesn’t show for PTR, I play Paladin for raid testing, slowly it becomes evident that the Hpala is fading out of the raid team. Eventually it’s so obvious that they directly ask me, would I want to main it, I jump on the opportunity to be on the main roster and reroll Hpala at the end of MoP.
I then play Hpala in Legion, but I stop raiding in December, shortly before Nighthold comes out, we’d killed 2/3M in Trial of Valour at this point.
I left because there was a bit much to oversee. Having to have a main and an alt, with all the grinding at the time was too much with school and work going on as well, so I stepped down.
Ever since then, I’ve just done some pugging here and there, for a period of time I trialed in Amused to Death on DefiasBrotherhood, that was early/mid BoD. It’s dead now though.
I trialed there, and stopped, because, it wasn’t what they said it was, and I heard from other trials/new raiders that they’d also been lured by an officer promising that members of the guild were amazing and we’d easily clear everything. We did not, and not only that, that officer, was always in for raid, but was always first to die, along with other issues.
I mentioned it to the RL, who’s sadly very nice, but not a strong enough leader, so I left, and didn’t apply to anything else as I figured finding a proper guild would be too much of a bother at the time.
And now we’re here, I am looking to get back into real raiding again, pushing limits and bosses, getting CE and to be part of a community with the same ideas as myself.
Tell us about your previous guilds and your reasons for leaving them:
Sorry for the long “story” explanation.
More Information:
Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance?
Easily. The only thing that could stop it would be something urgent(like sickness/death), or something I know long time ahead, such as a birthday or alike.
We also raid on Sunday at the start of a new raiding tier. Are you aware of this?
I am aware and capable.
Are you able to Listen and Speak on Teamspeak?
Easily, you might find I have to be told to be silent, I like to speak and chat, it has happened during progress as well. If it does happen, just poke me!
What qualities do you bring to a Raid?
I bring a player with knowledge and experience, and a person positive and competitive(but not elitist), wanting to strive and push on, to learn and adapt. I know as a healer I am last to receive gear and have no problem with this. If the guild has success, so do I.
How comfortable are you playing your offspecs?
I am very comfortable with my OS(tanking), I am tanking a lot lately, harder to find good tanks than healers for M+.
How do you feel about progression raiding?
I love it! The sweet sensation of finally killing that a-hole that’s killed us 200-300 times is ecstatic. I treasure every new kill, and love a challenge.
I love when we reach the point where our gear is barely enough, and to kill the boss everyone has to do everything perfect, that’s for me the true essence and challenge of raiding, and where strengths and weaknesses really shine through, and the strongest bonds are made.
Where did you hear about Curse of Years and do you know anyone in the guild?
I was contacted by Nagassh, I don’t know anyone in the guild, no.
What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years?
Nagassh and the desire to raid, to be part of a strong raiding community.
Do you play outside of raid?
I do, a lot.
Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?
I can’t think of anything apart from, I look forward for your review, and (hopefully) a chance to show you what I’ve got, and for me to be a productive part of your team!
Tell us a joke:
What do you call a bath full of paladins? A bubblebath!
Oh okay, it sucks.
Your mom so fat, when the rogue used Shadowstep, he got a loading screen! (my favourite)
