General:

Hi there, My name is Jo, 40+ from London U.K. I am a single parent to three fantastic gamer sons, and a registered carer. I devote most of my gaming time to WoW, but I like to dabble occasionally in Diablo III, Hearthstone, SWtOR, BDO amongst others. I like to socialise with friends, either online in mmo's or down the pub, and I like to go to lots of loud Metal gigs and watch movies.

Character Information:

Battletag:
Revenant#2712

Describe your choice of talents and why you've chosen them:

Single Target - [Way of the Cobra][Dire Frenzy][Posthaste][Bestial Fury][Binding Shot][Murder of Crows][Killer Cobra] for bosses such as Goroth, Inquisition and Sisters
Multiple Targets - [Dire Stable][Stomp][Posthaste][One With the Pack][Binding Shot][Volley][Killer Cobra] for bosses such as Harjatan

The setup may change on some Multi Target bosses where I feel that The extra focus from [Dire Stable] is not needed, and i will switch it to [Way of the Cobra]

How do you prioritize your stats and why?
For Single target my stat priority is Haste, then Mastery, then Crit, as haste reduces the cooldown of [Dire Frenzy] so that I may keep the attack speed buff on my pet at three stacks for as long as possible.

For Multiple targets I take a priority of Crit, then Mastery Then Haste, because more Crit Means that I am more likely to get procs on my [Dire Beast]

I also make sure that my agility is still at an acceptable amount

What state is your Artifact in?

BM - 56 MM - 52

Where do you acquire knowledge about your Class?

Various sites - Icy Veins, MMO Champion, askmrrobot, Trueshot Lodge Discord, videos of fights. I also regularly check out fellow hunters on hc/mythic progression to see what they are utilising on various fights and how I might apply some of those choices to my own set up, in order to optimise my performance for each boss.

Raiding History:

Until NH, I had only ever raided in casual guilds and never at mythic level.
I started raiding regularly in cata, and have continued on normal/heroic since then through each expansion.

Describe your previous/current raiding experience:

En 7/7 Normal, 7/7 Heroic
ToV 2/3 Heroic, 2/3 Mythic
NH 10/10 Heroic, 9/10 Mythic
Tos 9/9 Normal, 7/9 Heroic

Tell us about your previous guilds and your reasons for leaving them:

Red Eyed Tokers (Nordrassil GM - realm died slowly, so did guild
Murloc Holmes - Nordrassil - tried alliance for a while
Howling Voids Magtheridon GM - set up a new guild on a busier server. Guild started to falter so we tried a guild merge with a guild we had been joint raiding with. It didn't really work so set up a new guild with friends.
The Quivering Magtheridon GM - left to join Scrumpy, my present guild and to try mythic raiding.

More Information:

Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance?

Yes

We are raiding Sundays at start of each Tier for 3-4 weeks. Are you aware of it?

Yes, not a problem

Are you able to Listen and Speak on Teamspeak?

Yes

What qualities do you bring to a Raid?

Although I have not been raiding at this level long, I am very committed, highly motivated to improve, and offer consistent, good dps and good utility. I am open to constructive critisism and to making appropriate changes,

I enjoy mechanics and I am usually quick to learn them. I always try and maximise my dps, though I am not a dps ho, and will carry out any necessary mechanics during fights. I think it's important to have a balance of the two. I am enthusiastic, and looking to grow and face new challenges with a new guild.

I am always well prepared. Fully gemmed enchanted, flasks and pots and and Vantus rune for boss we are progressing on. I will have read up on the fights, watched any appropriate videos, and tested my set up for each boss.

How do you feel about progression raiding?

It's challenging, fun and rewarding, both on a personal, and team level. It's an opportunity to learn more, and to continually expand my knowledge base and skillset. I especially enjoy the teamwork aspect of progressive raiding, and the thrill of downing a boss for the first time.

Where did you hear about Curse of Years and do you know anyone in the guild?

From a guild mate, we were looking to moves guilds as a group of four.

What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years?

Good progression, and Cutting Edge over a number of expansions. Looked like a tight core group with lots of experience at this level. Lots of opportunity to learn from more experienced players.

Do you play outside of raid?

Yes, WQ's daily, some pvp, sometimes lfr. some M+ though not much since reset due to moving home over a three week period.

Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?

Tell us a joke: Brexit. Oh wait, that's a tragedy...

Hi guys, I would like to apologise but due to unexpected circumstances i am unable to commit to the 3rd raid night for the immediate future. I tried to contact an officer online, to speak directly, but there was no one on. Thank you so much for the offer - and i wish you guys the very best of luck in your ToS progress. Jo

No worries, thanks for the update - if the situation changes by all means get back in touch with us or if you want a social spot once Sargart and NIffeh have settled in then you're welcome to that too.
