Your Name, Age, Gender and Location: Oskar, 17, Male, Denmark, Hillerød

Tell us a little bit about yourself (non-WoW related Interests, Hobbies etc): I spend all of my time playing WoW actually. I sometimes play something else, like maybe Overwatch or League of Legends, but ever since Legions launch, I havn't played anything else but WoW. Besides playing pc all the time, I really like technology and IT. Which is also what I am currently studying.

Character Information: Balance Druid on the server Magtheridon. I've played balance druid since Cataclysm. I can play restoration as well, but it's not as good as my balance.

Battletag: Talthbane#2799

Describe your choice of talents and why you've chosen them: (LvL 15)Starlord is a must, it's basicly a 20%haste buff for my solar wrath and lunar strike. Force of nature is just useless and does no dmg, warrior of elune isn't worth the cooldown or the dmg. (Lvl 30) Displacers beast is best for all situations. The extra heal is nice and all, but in most cases you can dodge that dmg all together by either moving or blinking. Wild Charge is basicly a worse version of Displacers beast. rarely you'll be able to use it. (lvl 45) It's a match between guardian and restoration affinity. If it's a large area with constant raid dmg, restoration is best. Like on nythendra, it's great. But, on Ursoc, guardian is better cause there is huge amounts of dmg when there is dmg. And restoration affinity won't be able to keep up. (lvl 60) is purely situational. (lvl 75) Incarnation has the best dmg output than the others. the bonus and stellar dmg is enough to keep up to par with incarnation. (90) shooting stars on fights with a lot of adds or multiple bosses. idealy 4+ targets all the time. blessing on single target. (100) Nature's balance is best in most situations, even on aoe. Fury of elune isn't viable due to low radius and not being able to keep it up for long. stellar drift is good on large packs of adds, otherwise it's nature's balance.

How do you prioritize your stats and why? I look at guides, talk to other balance druids and watch videos. My stat priority is haste - crit - mastery. Haste is great cause i can cast more spells and get more astral power, and more astral power equals more dmg. ontop of that, if I crit more along the way, it's double the dmg.

What do you think about Artifact and how important it is for your spec (traits etc)? My artifact spell makes a huge difference in terms of astral power gain and dmg in overall. Some of my traits are really good, but some are a bit useless. however some aren't made for me at all, there is one that gives my innervate target 20% haste as well. That's a huge utility for healers, especially during fights like, ilgynoth mythic with huge raid wide dmg, or dragons with constant dmg.

Where do you acquire knowledge about your Class? As I mentioned before, I talk to other people, look up guides and check out videos. And I try out trinkets too see what's working best.

Raiding History: I'd love to give you some specifics, but qutie frankly I can't remember half of it. I've raided some in every expansion expect Vanilla and TBC. I raided some a couple of bosses in ICC normal, Naxx normal, DS normal and MSV normal. In WoD I raided mythic in every tier except Highmaul and last half of BRF.

Describe your previous/current raiding experience: I've raided some in every expansion, but I got much more serious when HFC in WoD came out.

Tell us about your previous guilds and your reasons for leaving them: Døgnfluen-Auchindoun, I left them because the main core raiding team got disbanded due to lack of raiders. I'm still in my current raiding guild, Exile-Magtheridon, but I want to leave them because some people aren't taking the raiding serious. Some people, like myself, do w/e I can to get gear and get better. While some only log on during raid nights. It's impossible to get better from just doing 1 raid.

More Information:

Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance? I can 100% attend all raid nights, and If I can't , I will let you know in advance.

We are raiding Sundays at start of each Tier for 3-4 weeks. Are you aware of it? I am, one of the reasons I decided to apply to you.

Are you able to Listen and Speak on Teamspeak? I am. I can speak fluent english.

What qualities do you bring to a Raid? Good dps while still doing what I need to do.

How do you feel about progression raiding? I find progression raiding to be the only fun thing. I want to push the bosses, I want to try out new and challenging things.

Where did you hear about Curse of Years and do you know anyone in the guild? I found you on wowprogress and I do not know anyone from your guild.

What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years? I quote from your wowprogress page: "This is the ideal guild if you want a light schedule but with reasonable Mythic progress." This talks to me so much, cause that's exactly what I want. I have the time to raid every single day, but sometimes I want to just chill with either some pvp or mythic+ dungeons and your raid days/times matches that perfectly.

Do you play outside of raid? I do. I looooove doing mythic+ dungeons and pvp with others. There's no feeling like one shotting people with a Full Moon crit in an arena :D. Always fun to play with guildmates.

Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application? I believe that my logs are kind a shit and that I need to improve on them. But, on the other hand, I know that I'm doing good when I raid. I hope that you somewhat ignore them and take me in as a trial so I can prove myself to you.

Tell us a joke: How does Naxx fly? It has 4 wings! Old, but gold :D

Hi Oskar!

We are sad to announce that we cannot offer you a raid spot yet. Wish you a best luck in your search for 'that' one guild that you can call home.

Thanks,
Y.
