  Damage dealer, at the moment dual wield frost as MS and I don't mind tanking with my OS blood, if it's really necessary.

  Usually I'm using Plague Leech/Purgatory/Death's Advance/Blood Tap/Death Pact/Gor Grasp/Defile but for some heavy movement fights when I can't efectively use my Defile for aoeing Im using Nec Plague , on Gorefiend I swap my purgatory with Anti Magic Zone and I can use chillblains to slow down the adds on Kilrogg but I was never assigned to do that job. • Describe your past/current raid experience.:
  I began to raid at the end of WotLK, my first raid where I knew what I'm doing was ICC, I managed to kill LK before cata release, I have cleared all the normal first three cata raids and managed to get some kills, during the Firelands I joined guild which transfered from another server (Preeminence) and we were fighting for first server Rag hc kill, but suddenly I had to quit WoW for almost 2 years and the guild collapsed shortly after this (10m hc). I came back to the game for about 2 months during MoP but I didn't feel "the thing" to raid and spend a lot of time playing. I'm playing again for a few months and sadly or maybe fortunately got really into it, I managed to do HM 7/7 HC mostly with pug groups BRF 10/10 HC with my current guild By Accident all before 6.2 release. My current HFC progression is 6/13HC (probably 7 in the evening) and 12/13 n since we are progressing HC I'm not in a hurry to pug Archi normal because I don't need any loot from N.

  Effort, I attend most of the raids because it's pleasure for me to play with decent people and atleast try to help less decent do the job required by an encounter. I'm the first one ready to battle res a tank because usually I'm the first one to hit by the boss if he's not alive, I manage to use personal cd's without dps loss to make healers living easier, and the most important thing is that I think about solutions of problems if I am struggling with something.There are many ways things can be done some of them are better some are worse but the best way to find out is to try and practice them. Ah I almost forgot about that I'm a friendly and communicative person with a great sense of humor and lots of positive thinking :).
  
• Share how you feel about progression raiding.:
  Progression is the best part of raiding to show up, score good world ranking and they give most of the joy of playing this game when all the fights are done perfectly it's just gear farm and dps race.
  
• What are your faults in relation to raiding?:
  My faults? I'm not sure if I understood it correctly, sometimes i fail like all humans but i try to not make the same mistake twice and always know what have i done wrong and how to do it better.

  I have been in a top server guild once and I want to be part of it again, I consider myself a decent raider who will prove his value if he gets a chance.

  It's illegal here in Poland so maybe I'm gonna share it with you guys if we know each other better :), but I like sports, I ve been training martial arts for one and half year, now during the holidays I just do illegal stuff play wow and attend to gym 3-4 times a week.

Hey John, welcome to our forums :)

I'll spend some time looking through your logs later, but in the meantime, I have some comments/questions for you.

Firstly, your stat prio is wrong and should be as follows: Mastery > Haste = Multistrike = Versatility > Critical Strike. EJ I'm afraid is not the best source for DK stuffs.

Could you please explain your opening rotation and what priority you use during the fight, including when you use plague leech and under what conditions you are using obliterate? How many targets before you switch to aoe?

Your UI looks nice and clean, and I see that you are using compact runes! But could I please see a screen shot of you in raid combat?

1.Stat prio- Frost has suffered two major nerfs after 6.2 release 16% dmg reduction on HB,FS,OBLI and set bonus nerf, If this what you are saying is truth it explains the stat prio change which I have missed, with that big damage reduction multistrike goes down on stat prio and haste goes up as it affects KM proc's.

2. I'm assuming it's low movement single target fight without any unusual mechanics and without adds which have to be interrupted/gripped or nuked.

6-7 secs before the pull I'm casting Army of the dead, about 1 and half second before big wigs pull I'm using macroed pre-pot bound to my keyboard which is pre-pot,pillar of frost and Vial of Convulsive Shadows, half second before the pull I'm using 60% speed boost bound to my keyboard aswell, If I don't lag my global cd is reset on the pull and I'm applying outbreak bound to my mouse right after the tank pulled, If the boss needs time to position him properly I spent my both unholy runes with 2 frost/death runes on obliterate (if howling blast doesn't trigger if it does I use free HB before using second OBLI), If it takes longer to get to the bosses or something unusual happens and I'm not in melee range I just use HB while I'm getting to the boss but this shouldn't be happening. If the boss is well positioned when I reach him which should be, when my global cd from outbreak resetes I put my defile beneath him, (first uh rune), second is spent on obliterate and here the same thing happens, if I get KM proc I'm using it on frost strike even if there's HB proc on if I don't get KM proc I spam all my death/frost runes on HB to get 90-100 RP, then I'm spamming Frost strike with the RP capped, now I have to mention that my frost strike is macroed with blood tap that's why there's no blood tap on my bars, it works better for me, I use plague leech when my Blood plague is about to run out of time, or I'm in desperate need of runes but it happens very rarely so for 95% of the time I use PL when BP is going off, after that I'm reaplying both plagues via HB and Plague Strike if my outbreak is on cd and I have less than 3 runes ready to use. Then it's just rinse and repeat depending on raid environment and boss mechanics. I use my defile on cool down every 30 secs if the boss isn't going to move. I also love using AMS for the sweet RP boost it can provide like on gorefiend for example.

Damn it might be quite hard to understand since the rotation depends on a lot of stuff, but answering your questions I use obliterate If I have unholy rune up, I never spend two death runes or death/frost runes on obliterate and I'm using plague leech when my diseases are about to fall off. About aoeing it also depends, as you know frost is one of the strongest cleave classes due to howling blast prio so it does strong aoe damage even if you are following general single target rotation, if the adds which have to be aoed are moving, there is a lot of them and they can't be stacked I switch to nec plague, if they can be stacked I stay with defile, infect them with blood boil and HB them out, if there is one target that has highest prio with many less prioritised adds I use UH rune with obli on it hoping for HB proc, and RP on frost strike if I'm out of runes or my RP reaches 100, if I'm using defile I keep one uh rune ready for the defile and spam the rest with HB, if the deases are about to fall off or I need runes and I'm low on RP I leech them reapply, spread and continue.

3. Screenshot in raid combat, I'm going Iskar HC tonight so I will try to give you one around 11 p.m.

And once again I'm sorry that I wrote so much about my rotation but I just couldn't make it in a few words there are really many things that affect it i tried to explain my way to deeps best as I could, ah one more thing which I forgot, below 35% Soul reaper has the biggest prio and my second pots are used with Blood Lust or if it was used on pull I use it when soul reaper gets in the game. Pillar on cd ofc usually with my trinket.

Thanks for the in depth reply!

Stat prio did indeed change because of the reasons you listed, and shows me you understand how our stats work :)

Opener is spot on, but there are a couple of things I would change with your priority. Obliterate only when Unholy runes are capped (Capped = 2 Unholy runes sitting there, Uncapped = 1 Unholy rune is recharging), or if you have no Runic Power to exhaust a Killing Machine proc with Frost Strike. Basically your logs show that you are using Obliterate to often, and it is also a dps loss to use it in the hope of getting a rime proc. Macro-ing blood tap removes the point of using it, as the idea behind it, is to give you runes when you want them. When using blood tap, you should let it cap to 10 and then use it when you need a rune. By macro-ing it, you basically turn it into a weaker RC. Personally I only use blood tap when tanking, as I find RC easier to manage when dps-ing.

Other than the above, everything else you said makes sense and have shown me you at least understand how DWF works.
