Hi, im Max, im male. Im 26 years old. Im from germany.
Tell us a little bit about yourself (non-WoW related Interests, Hobbies etc)
Im a Student. I study psychology and am currently doing my masters degree. In my freetime i like to do wildlife photography and spend time with my cat. She is rly affectionate and we have a strong bond, so i can take her for walks, like a dog.
Character Information:
My main character is Cryvey-Blackhand, its a resto Shaman. i have 253 max gearscore, but depending on what i prio my actually gearscore is lower.

What strengths do you feel your class currently brings to the raid?
Spiritlink totem is a really potent cooldown to survive key mechanics. No other class has a spell like this.
On top of that i bring really good hps and spothealing with one of the strongest hots in the game: riptide.
furthermore i can prepare big healing setups with cloudbursts for key moments in fights
In General my healing throughput is rly good. Depending on the covenant i can bring extremly strong hps thats position
independant with necrolord, or go venthyr or kyrian for burst healing potential at key moments during a fight.
im also on of the two healers who can bring a good raidwide movement speed bonus with windrushtotem.
For progress, it can also be of interest to play with the "ankh-totem", to allow a player to ressurect for free during hard moments in progress.
My class also shines in proving a rly competetive damage output with relatively few globals spent for that.
How comfortable are you playing your offspecs?
i am not very confident in playing my two offspecs, but i am willing to put in the time and energy to lear to play one of my offspecs, if it is needed for the raid.

my ui doesnt rly change much infight. in the raid i would just have some weakauras appear and have the raid note open.

Raiding History:
Started wow in february of 2021, so not much raiding history except some castle nathria with friends 7/10 mythic
Describe your previous/current raiding experience:
I tipped my toes in raiding in 9.05 with the guild of a friend, but didnt really raid mindfully.
For 9.1 i looked for a guild and got into one and we progressed the first 5 bosses, but then disbanded on painsmith because we didnt meet the damage check.
I then looked for a new guild and got into a guild that was 10/10 already and just looking for a new healer. The guild had just killed sylvanas and lost a lot of members, so we had to reprogress the raid. i made my 10/10 with that guild. I then left them, because we had lots of player turnover, so we would reprogress bosses constantly with new players. We also couldnt reclear the raid. some weeks we would only do 3 bosses and wipe a few hours on sylvanas because key mechanics werent played properly. (i i was not assiged to heal for sylvanas, since i didnt need any loot for her, so i could only watch from the stream/teamspeak). There were other issues that in combination lead to me not feeling good about the guild.

Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance?
yes, i also bring pretty much 99% attendance.
What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years?
Im looking for a guild that approaches the raid systematicaly, intelligently and progresses in the raid in a timely manner.
Im also looking for a good atmosphere in the raid, treatment of respect, but also humor.
I see those qualitys in your guild and thats why i am applying.
Do you play much outside of raiding?
yes, i really enjoy the game and try to be the best at my class. i am playing a lot of m+ and am playing at a decent level (2910 score).
Im very well connected in the highend m+ scene.
Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?
My healing logs may not look too glamorous, but thats because of a few reasons:
1. i joined a guild in reclear, so most people had better gear
2. i try to heal efficiently. For e.g. If i see an ashen, i will turn down my healing throughput and focus more on helping with damage where i can
3. If i know for a fact that the next big damage mechanic is in 15 seconds and the group just took dmg, im not gonna pump healing into the group, why would i? there is no real threat. ill heal the tank and key targets, but its totaly fine for the group to get slowly healed up by my healing rain or other efficent aoe heals from other healers.
If another healers feels like he needs to insta top the group and "waste mana", then he is free to take my hps there, but i wont heal much there unless it makes sense to have the group quickly topped for a mechanic.
I also want to bring to attention, that im still a bit new to raiding, so im still learning constantly and trying to improve on my gameplay in the raid as much as possible. Of course im not playing perfect, but im always looking at my mystakes and work to not repeat them. Im open for feedback always and actually want it, so i can improve and become a better player. So even if u see some flaws in my gameplay, be assured that am working to fix them.
