General:

Your Name, Age, Gender and Location:
My name is Jake, im an 18 yr old male that currently lives in the UK

Tell us a little bit about yourself (non-WoW related Interests, Hobbies etc)
I am currently working on studying computer science at uni, hopefully at Loughborough University, depending on what the government decides to do exam wise. I also enjoy cycling, having participated in multiple long distance events.

Character Information:

Battletag: PassTheSalt#21866

Describe your choice of talents and why you've chosen them:
For Fury:
Endless Rage - Provides the most rage out of all 3 choices, hence keeping me enraged for the longest time possible, which increases my damage and haste.
Double Time/Storm Bolt - Double Time increases my mobility massively, so if I have to move out for a mechanic I can charge back into the boss. Storm Bolt allows me to ST stun a mob, this tends to be run on Hivemind or Vexiona where potentially disruptive adds need to be CCed.
Sudden Death/Furious Slash - Sudden Death allows for random execute procs, which gives you 20 rage, or 40 if recklessness is up. This is considerably better on fights with any aoe, as the alternative, Furious Slash increases your haste by 6%, if kept stacked to 3 is better on fights that are nearly purely ST.
Warpaint - Gives me a 10% defensive for ~80%+ of the fight.
Carnage - Reduces the rage needed to cast Rampage, increasing uptime on enrage.
Dragon Roar - Similar dps to bladestorm but more frequent and not a channel so is preferred over BS.
Siege Breaker - Increases damage done by warrior abilities by 15%

For Arms:
Skullsplitter - 20 rage on a ~20 second cooldown is the highest rage/minute out of all the choices on the level 15 row.
Double Time/Storm Bolt - Same as earlier
Fervor of Battle - For 10 extra rage, WW does 10% extra damage AND you get a slam ontop, which in conjunction with Crushing Assault, means that you spent 10 rage and do a load of damage. The extra damage from this is considerably better than the increased execute window from Massacre.
Bounding Stride/Defensive Stance - Increased Mobility or 20% defensive at a cost of 10% damage.
Collateral Damage/Cleave - Good for 2+ target fights, as whenever sweeping strikes is up, any rage using abilities refund 20% of the rage, meaning more rage pumped into Test of Might(ToM), which means a bigger strength window. Cleave is better on multi-target fights as it offers an easier way to get Deep Wounds ticking on all mobs.
In For The Kill - Increases your haste during collosus smash, allows you to cast more spells, which increases the rage spent during CS, which increases the strength ToM gives you at the end.
Anger Management - Decreases the cooldown on CS and Bladestorm for every 20 rage spent by 1 second, allows for more ToM windows and such more damage.

How do you prioritize your stats and why?
Fury:
Crit > Haste >= Mastery > Versa
With Cold Steel Hot Blood, Crit is so huge as CSHB accords to a large chunk of our damage, Haste is good as more spells means better enrage uptime so more damage.
Arms:
Haste > Crit > Mastery >= Versa
Haste is huge as I said earlier about In For The Kill, having a higher haste value means you can cast more spells, which reduces the CD on CS and BS, but also allows for larger ToM windows

Where do you acquire knowledge about your Class?
I mainly use the class discord (Skyhold), but I also utilise the guides on WoWhead, Icyveins and the Method website for more fundamental ideas.

Paste a your UI IN COMBAT:
As this screenshot doesn't have key bindings visible, as I prefer to run without while raiding, there is one screenshot, out-of-combat, with my keybindings visible.

Raiding History:

Describe your previous/current raiding experience:
I started mythic raiding in BfA
Uldir: 5/8M - Tre Lowen
BoD: 9/9M - Goodlife (World 512)
CoS: 0/2M - Goodlife (about 5% and 20% on cabal iirc)
TEP: 8/8M - Fluffy Lemon Noodles (World 964)
NYA: 9/12M - Fluffy Lemon Noodles (World 910)

Tell us about your previous guilds and your reasons for leaving them:
thx - Guild fell apart after Mother Mythic
Tre Lowen - In Tre Lowen, we got to 5/8M in Uldir, with a couple of wipes on Zul, then we got 3/9M in BoD reasonably quickly but got hard stuck on opulence.
Left after opulence progression, as I felt that some members of the guild were not putting the right amount of effort in to kill the bosses.
Amici - Failed my trial, I don't really have an excuse for this, I just sucked ass for a few weeks and they didn't like that.
Goodlife - Got to get CE in BoD due to my prior experience in Amici, I learnt my lesson after Amici and started prioritising mechanical ability over pure dps.
Took a break at the end of CoS/Start of TEP as I had too much stuff on my plate, I also wasn't enjoying Shaman as much as I thought I would.
Fluffy Lemon Noodles - Got to CE in TEP, however I wasn't there for the first kill, and benched for the second, we tried for a third the week before Nya'lotha came out, but couldn't kill it in time :(
Some of the personalities in FLN are a bit much to handle at times, i'm sure Merin has/will tell tales of that one King's Rest he tanked.

More Information:

Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance?
I can make these days nearly 100% of the time, if not I will make sure to inform the officer team with ample time to find a replacement.

We also raid on Sunday at the start of a new raiding tier. Are you aware of this?
I am aware of this, and am also able to raid on Sundays.

Are you able to Listen and Speak on Teamspeak?
Of course :)

What qualities do you bring to a Raid?
I am a fairly chilled person, but am not afraid to suggest tactics or ask questions about tactics if necessary. I also like to think I do decent dps, but am not even close to the mighty MingLee himself.

How comfortable are you playing your offspecs?
I am comfortable playing Arms where necessary, however I am less confident as prot, but would be able to play it given time to get used to it again.

How do you feel about progression raiding?
I really enjoy progression raiding as I love to work as a group to overcome some of the hardest challenges in the game, the sense of accomplishment once the boss finally dies is unequivalable to anything else. I will also ask questions, and am not afraid to accept my mistakes.

Where did you hear about Curse of Years and do you know anyone in the guild?
I used to be on Arathor before I realm changed, and I currently know Harry and Merinicus, but have also played with other members in keys and other stuff.

What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years?
I wanted to join a guild that is pushing the hardest content in the game, with like-minded, dedicated individuals.

Do you play outside of raid?
I don't really have anything else to do other than study and any homework, so I play whenever possible.

Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?
I also have an alt shaman that i'm willing to play and gear (I have loads of free time at the moment so will be working on gearing that.)

As you may already know, we're not currently in a position to recruit another warrior unfortunately.
If you are still interested in playing another class in Shadowlands please feel free to contact us again. Warrior recruitment could be more of a priority at that point also.
