Curse of Years Application form.
Remember your application is the first impression we have on you, be as in depth as possible on all areas of the application.

General:
I would just quickly like to apologize for the previous application, I hadn't tried such an application before :)

Your Name, Age, Gender and Location:
My name is Enrique Da Costa Maya, I am a 26 years old guy that currently live in Copenhagen ( I am from Sweden originally, with a portugese father).

Tell us a little bit about yourself (non-WoW related Interests, Hobbies etc)
Well I love movies, am very interested in languages, I like people, food. I am in a relationship since 4 years with a lovely gal from Denmark and I like to work. I work in the restaurant business as a waiter.

Character Information:
I re-rolled Demon Hunter in Legion and decided to main it, also from a collectors point of view. Always loved the Demon Hunters since W3 and was and still am determined to play it as my main. I was 972 before item squish, am currently 247 ilvl. I am playing Havoc as my main, but have also spent a fair share of time as Vengeance. I am quite flexible and will always do my best to improve my play style and to fit the needs of the guild. I am engineer and miner as my profession, and maxed out in secondary professions too.

Describe your choice of talents and why you've chosen them:
As things are still a bit new and uncertain considering prepatch I have checked out Icy Veins for ideas and for raiding I have gone for Felblade for the quite powerful fury generator it is, and the other two options dont seem viable, considering that Demonic appetite spawn way fewer soul fragments compared to patch 7.3.5, and Blind Fury's seems to me, to not be the best choice in a single target encounter. Demon Blades is the talents in the second tier I am going for, currently, but with the loss of legendary ring at 120 I will have to see if it still is the best choice. As a default for the third tier I am going with Trail of Ruin, however I think that depending on the encounter this option could change. For the fourth tier I use Netherwalk, as soaking and invulnerability always comes in handy. The fifth tier, I am playing with First Blood, as in synergises the use of my current equipped legendary Chaos Theory, for the proc chance for Chaos Blades. Again this is subject to chance depending on how things look in Bfa. For the sixth tier I am playing Master of the Glaive as default, for a filler if need be. And finally I am going for Nemesis for the strong damage increase in single target (and in some cases AoE) situations.

How do you prioritize your stats and why?
Agility > Haste > Versatility > Critical Strike > Mastery
Since the value of agility has increased dramatically compared to Legion, as in raw AP this is the main choice. Haste comes next for the GCD recovery and fury generation, I see this as essential with Chaos Strike now having a fixed 40% chance to refund fury. This does make Crit go way down in the priority, and as it does, versatility comes up with its flat damage increase, as well as healing , and damage taken reduction. Finally Mastery, I am actually a bit unsure about this, as I think it could be quite good, but then again, many of the abilites used is not even chaos damage in this rotation, and the movement speed as been drastically nerfed.

What state is your Artifact in?
As all the traits have been removed I will mention my item level which for
havoc is: 258
vengeance: 242

Where do you acquire knowledge about your Class?
Icy Veins, asking friends, through youtube videos, and trying out what seems to work the best.

Raiding History:
I have been raiding since tbc however on a very amateur level. I remember doing Karazhan back then, and during wotlk we also did a couple of ulduar runs as well as naxx runs. During Cata I did some BoT and BWD runs and quite a few DS runs. During MoP I gradually progressed ever so slowly and did do SoO on normal quite some times, on Heroic too I think. However it is actually now during Legion that I decided I would like to raid more hardcore, and especially now with BfA comming up.

Describe your previous/current raiding experience:
Well as of late I have not been raiding in the last few months, I am a collector of sorts and have been trying to catch up since this is somewhat a new thing for me. But before then I was happy at first in the guild I was invited to and offered a Core guild ranking. This was mainly during the end of ToS and we did clear it on Heroic. After that we moved on to ABT, and progressed there for some time as well, it should be mentioned that the first normal kill I got was in a pug group, as I wanted to get it done fast, so I could progress to Heroic and eventually mythic. I never really did raid on mythic difficulty during the previous expansions, though I always wanted to. I think I thought I wasn't good enough for it, but I do believe I am these days. So slowly progressing in Mythic ABT was a big deal for me but I did realise rather fast that the progression would not take us high up, as we only ended up doing High Command.

Tell us about your previous guilds and your reasons for leaving them:
As of late I have not been raiding in the last few months, I did grow tired of how few members showed up for the raid nights which resulted in them being cancelled, and also frankly how often people kept doing the same mistakes with no repercussions. I have not yet left my guild, as I currently am looking for a mythic progressing guild, for BfA.

More Information:

Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance?
I am working as I mentioned before as a waiter, but I do however have a fast schedule. In the comming week (week 31) I am working monday tuesday, friday and saturday. And the week after that (week 32) I work wednesday and thursday. So depending on week, I should always be able to attend atleast of of the days if not two.

We are raiding Sundays at start of each Tier for 3-4 weeks. Are you aware of it?
I did not, but I am always off on my sundays from work, so that would not be an issue for me.

Are you able to Listen and Speak on Teamspeak?
Sure not a problem
What qualities do you bring to a Raid?
Flexablity, Patience, Know-how, kindness, a keen will to adapt and learn.

How comfortable are you playing your offspecs?
Well since the release of the prepatch, not as comfortable as I was but if my mainspec was played at 100% I'd say I play Vengeance at 75-80%.

How do you feel about progression raiding?
I have an idea of it being great, but I have been a bit disappointed with my previous experience. I don't have a problem with people (my self included) making mistakes as long as one can learn from them.

Where did you hear about Curse of Years and do you know anyone in the guild?
As Arathor has been my main server since atleast 2009 I have seen the guild name around ever so often, and with the mythic equipment most of the players have. I have had the pleasure to talk to Nalgust and I have seen his skills first hand, quite a catch you guys got there.

What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years?
What I previously wrote above is a main factor: seen some of your members first hand, always seeing people with the top gear and clearing the highest content, and I would like to be a part of it, push my self as far as I can.

Do you play outside of raid?
I play the game to the fullest if possible, meaning quests, pvp, lorewise, collecting so yes.

Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?
Nothing more than I think I would be a good and valuable player for your team and would love to get a chance to prove it.

Tell us a joke:
So during a flight, the pilot informs the passengers of the weather conditions, altitude and the remaining time left of the trip. As soon as he finishes the report, he turns to his co-pilot and sais "I am so going to bang the flight stewardess, just as soon as I've had a quick shit". He however forgot to turn the speaker off. The stewardess, who is in the middle of the plane, with all the passengers looking at her, hurries to the cockpit in a panic, but stumbles and falls. One of the passengers, an old lady gently tells her:
" No need to rush dear, didn't you hear the pilot? He had to take a shit first!".

Application declined I'm afraid, we'd be looking for someone with more experience at this point.
