Tell us a little bit about yourself (non-WoW related Interests, Hobbies etc)
I like playing other blizzard games like Overwatch and Hearthstone. I also play some other games on steam. The rest of my spare time I spend watching films/TV shows or just browsing the web. I've also had a tumblr for about 7 years now which is constantly updated with memes and other funny stuff (skeng.tumblr.com).
Character Information:
I'd firstly like to say that this is an application for your BFA roster since I have been out of the game for about a year. That being said, I'm very flexible with what I'm willing to play. Healer is the only role I'm not comfortable with but I have experience raiding with all the other roles. Melee DPS would be my choice if given, though. I'm holding onto my 110 boost so if needed I could roll a class to better fit the roster around the time BFA comes out.
For the sake of the application form I'll use my Arms Warrior that I played in Legion - Just note I stopped playing around 7.2. I have been keeping up to date with all the BFA news and patch notes in the meantime, however.

Describe your choice of talents and why you've chosen them:
I haven't been subbed so the talents are just the way I left them. Seems like I was set up for cleave or AoE with the build on my armory. Arms talents and core abilities will be changing fairly significantly in BFA so I'm keeping tabs on them as the notes have been released.
How do you prioritize your stats and why?
Things may have changed in the time I've been away but it was mastery or bust when I was playing. Mastery aplifies your colossus smash effect and you aim to have colossus smash up all the time. This is why the nature of Arms was feast or famine in the state I played because if you lost your colossus smash effect you lost more than half your damage until you got it up again. I believe they made steps to reduce this spikeyness on live but in BFA the mastery will shift completely just to a passive bleed with no interaction. I believe haste and crit will both become a lot more valuable than mastery in BFA but strength should be the most valuable stat in BFA with the abilities now scaling with attack power instead of weapon damage.
What state is your Artifact in?
It's in whatever state I left it so probably not a very good one by today's standards haha! As I mentioned before, this is an application for BFA and I'm happy to be a social until the BFA roster starts coming together and you can find a spot for me. Of course I am also happy to help with current content if needed but I would need a while to gear up before then.
Where do you acquire knowledge about your Class?
Mostly through the class discords. I was extremely active in Skyhold when I played and spent probably too much time on simcraft.

Raiding History:
Describe your previous/current raiding experience:
Chronologically:
Vanilla - Raided as Paladin and Warlock - cleared all content up to AQ40
TBC - Raided as a Rogue - cleared content up to BT
WoLK - Raided as tankadin - cleared all content with ToC onwards realm first (after ruby sanctum i sold my account, pledging to never return to this game...)
Made a new account towards the end of Cata but only played casually with IRL friends, mostly doing pvp until the end of WoD where I decided to start raiding again and managed to clear HFC mythic before Legion as a Mage.
In legion I stayed with the same guild from WoD and was clearing Mythic but clashes with my work schedule caused some problems and I had to stop after NH. I played as a Death Knight and then a Warrior.
Since then I've been playing for a while on Light's Hope, a vanilla private server. Sadly the server is dying and even though we merged with another guild my guild still aren't able to get a group together for Naxx.
Tell us about your previous guilds and your reasons for leaving them:

I had a lot of fun raiding with these guys and I'm still in contact with them all via discord and bnet. Unfortunately towards the end of NH I had to start working later shifts at my old job on 2 of the raid days so I wasn't able to make it on time to those. When we killed Gul'Dan I just decided to quit for a while.
More Information:
Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance?
Yes
We are raiding Sundays at start of each Tier for 3-4 weeks. Are you aware of it?
Yes
Are you able to Listen and Speak on Teamspeak?
Yes
What qualities do you bring to a Raid?
A positive attitude and experience
How comfortable are you playing your offspecs?
I played all 3 DK specs fairly comfortably before re-rolling to Warrior. As I said before, I'm flexible with what the guild needs me for.
How do you feel about progression raiding?
Progression raiding is what's fun about the game to me. I love the collective and personal challenge.
Where did you hear about Curse of Years and do you know anyone in the guild?
I found you on wowprogress and noticed you had a similar skill level and schedule to what I was used to so I decided to inquire. I have spoken to Gnarl on bnet before this and he directed me here but other than that I don't know anyone in the guild.
What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years?
As mentioned above, the schedule and ranking seemed to fit what I was used to.
Do you play outside of raid?
I liked doing mythic+ and I also would run every raid on every difficulty every week for legendaries. I guess that won't be necessary in BFA but there will be other things to do like the island adventures and warfronts. Either one of those could turn out like M+ and have a huge playerbase if they're done well I think.
Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?
This application is more for the player than the character. I know I probably won't be able to make much, if any, impact to your main raids this expansion anymore but going forward I'm happy to slot into the roster however you see fit. If you accept me I can join as a social until BFA rolls around and I'll be happy to help you farm the mount if I manage to gear up enough.
Also, with regard to my current work situation - I'm working part time and for the most part it's from home so it won't have any interference with raids.
Tell us a joke:
What did the pirate say on his 80th birthday?
Aye matey
