Curse of Years Application form.
Remember your application is the first impression we have on you, be as in depth as possible on all areas of the application.

General:

Your Name, Age, Gender and Location: Bedirhan / 30 / Male / Turkey

Tell us a little bit about yourself (non-WoW related Interests, Hobbies etc)
- I'm a lawyer working on home-office have a lot of free time, I love music and playing several local instruments. I also spend some time with playing airsoft on weekends.

Character Information:

Armory Link: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/chara ... r/pyrolock

Battletag: TheArsonist#21850

Describe your choice of talents and why you've chosen them:
First tier

Haunt > Useless this content Writhe in Agony > Beneficial in fights where I either use Absolute corruption or has targets more than 2(m+ / coven)

Second Tier

Contagion > Pretty good both ST and Multitarget talent choice as my spender also grants me extra %15 damage
AC > For fights where Sacrolash excels or necrotic weeks with poor tanks :)
ELT > Some weekly affixes or useless

Third Tier

DC > Removes the disability and lack of mobility CD's especially when not using Burning Rush. Also tricky on some mechanics where bosses throw me projectile to dodge them. i.e. > Felhounds' desolation gaze.
Mortal Coil >PVP
Howl of Terror > Sephuz proc or interrupt Mightstone Breakers' avalanche in NL :P :D

Forth Tier

Phantom Singularity> Bosses with ads in which I don't try to DoT ads but cleave them on boss. (i.e. Portal Keeper)
Sow the Seeds > I know you all hate warlocks :)
Soul Harvest > Pretty solid CD even on multitarget as it's CD can be extended by each agony ( tricky part is to pop this when many targets has agony like Army of norgannon + this )

Fifth Tier

DS > Sustain shield generation = sustain damage taken fights like varimathras
BR> When mobility needed
Dark Pact > Pretty much everytime I'm in a position to get targeted by any ability or raidwide heavy damage to ease the pain of healers.

Sixth tier

Grimoire of Supremacy > Grants me a good ST damage with interrupt or AoE stun with dispell opportunity.
GoS > Destruction BiS for imp's damage increase
GoS > Used to be Destruction BiS on MoP and prolly gonna be BiS for all specs on BfA as acommand demon ability will remain with this.
Seventh Tier

Death's Embrace> On fights which last long or I don't wear Netherlord ring for specific purposes i.e. Coven
Siphon Life> To add an extra DoT effect on a target. Only usable when I do have enough time to maintain other micro-managements such as almost all single target fights Imonar/Garothi etc.
Soul Coundit > Dungeons or Eonar. Pretty funny on multitarget if you do wear Power Cord of Lethendris tho :)

How do you prioritize your stats and why?

I do sim my character on raidbots via the code generated by SimulationCraft addOn and puse pawn import to prioritize because in time I've seen it grants the most logical info. Just in some specific conditions for example when I do have some latency issues, I do my own to maintain my haste > %35 to not miss any DoTs.

What state is your Artifact in?
79 >Destro 79,5 > Affli 78 > Demo

Where do you acquire knowledge about your Class?

Didn't get a chance to play for logs yet. And there is no Imonar log because I had to switch to resto druid on that fight to get the kill as old RL wasn't able to call heal CD's.

Raiding History on Legion:
EN 7/7N World Rank #62 [CATASTROPHE] Hpala / Destro lock -Twisting Nether
ToV 3/3M Realm Rank #3 [Square One] Hpala / Resto Druid
- Had to give game a stop at this point as I had a irl responsibility going on, marriage. Tried to get as much as I can during this period and I've killed 8/10M at NH and 6/9M on Tomb of Sargeras as I wasn't able to join a progression guild.
Now I'm back in game since 1-1,5 months and I've moved between several semi-social guilds to increase my progress and jump to a better one, I've been able to kill 7 out of 11 bosses and really tired of this progression as I'm almost spending 10-12 hours everyday on world of warcraft and this is just not satisfying to me.

Describe your previous/current raiding experience: I have been RL for 6 months at the start of the Legion on our guild named "Square One" mainly called healing CD's and produced strategies but after we get a main healer from ScrubBusters, I've moved back to my DPS role and played the warlock which I do spent time most. I'm able to play Frostmage( 2 seasons rank 3-7 glad) Rogue (whole WoD expansion) aswell.

Tell us about your previous guilds and your reasons for leaving them:
Square One > Drama
CATASTROPHE > Bad language and favouritism

More Information:

Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance?

I'm 7/24 free for raids, and would prefer to raid everyday after BfA raid releases , since ı'm working from home, I am able to set my schedule according to my wow calendar.

We are raiding Sundays at start of each Tier for 3-4 weeks. Are you aware of it?
Thanks, yes.

Are you able to Listen and Speak on Teamspeak?
Yes.

What qualities do you bring to a Raid?
Good mood. My wife also brings me cookies but I guess that'll just bring envy to the raid atmosphere :P . I don't get exhausted too fast , able to sustain my morale and keep my friends in the mood aswell.

How comfortable are you playing your offspecs?
I was destro main until Legion hits, so as long as guild wants me to switch and if it's gonna be more beneficial for my group, of course I won't stay away from doing that.

How do you feel about progression raiding?
Some people play this game as a "game" and thus they don't focus on challenging things so they find all these as unnecessary drama. At my point as it is smt that I spent hours and value, I do link some sort of moral things into it such as co-operating with friends to overcome challanges and feel of triumph when you defeat a boss after tens/hundreds of wipe is just so satisfying.
Where did you hear about Curse of Years and do you know anyone in the guild?
Nagaash messaged me on Wowprogress during the time I was looking for guilds as well, and I just came to Teamspeak to meet him and then decided to apply.

What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years?
RL / GM has no friends to carry :P And in my current realm Twisting Nether, there are lots of guilds and people have started to see guilds as some necessary objects. Feeling of being loyal to a group of people has been lost in my realm. This is the only guild I've ever seen on Arathor and I think it's better for me to start off things after all the drama I've been thru here in Twisting Nether. Also, TV and gaming magazines have advertised world of warcraft last year and many people who has no idea about what is world of warcraft has came into this realm and it's almost %90 Turkish populated, I'm really tired of it.
Do you play outside of raid?
Yes. I do spend 9-10 hours in game no matter if there is a raid or not, love to do mythic + content aswell.

Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?

Current standing of my character might be seen a little bit low but I'm at a point in which I need a guild to trust me, and I'll provide the best I can when I tidy up the mess caused by my leaving the wow for marriage. I'm a good player.
Tell us a joke:

Do you know why Beyonce sings "To the left to the left " ?
- BECUASE BLACK PEOPLE HAS NO RIGHTS. Kappa.

**I heard this joke from a well-known wow youtuber named PILAV, and I did the joke in the same manner, no racism, no disrespectful attitude, just sarcasm.

Sorry for the late response, I ended up being away all weekend - you're accepted for trial if you're still interested - just get in touch with an officer for an invite.

No problem. During these days, I've applied to a guild on TarrenMill named "Relax" and I've been accepted as a trial. It would be so rude to leave here without any saying these guys are good guys aswell. Just in case any inconvinience happens, I will re-apply to Curse of Years. Again, thanks for your reply and I wish you guys best of luck ^^
