Describe your choice of talents and why you've chosen them:
Level 15 talent - Eye of the tiger the extra damage is nice, and due to the frequency of which i use tiger palm the healing is very beneficial compared to the other 2 talents, its a must have choice in all situations.
Level 30 talent - This row is a movement speed choice I have went with Chi Torpedo as i feel more comfortable with the roll and speed boost after. I may take tiger's lust if someone else needed a speed boost every 30+ seconds as this could be useful. Celerity would never be taken.
Level 45 talent - This row is based around my self movement, I chose to use Black Ox Brew as the instant refills are extremely beneficial be it for purifying or ironskin brew. Light brewing is rarely taken and is inferior to black ox brew. Gift of the mists could be taken is some situations however it is generally a weaker choice compared to black ox brew.
Level 60 talent - This row is based around Crowd Control, I generally run Ring of Peace as this can be a good way to knock adds into a better position or on Eonar trapping the hounds so they all stack up. It also has its use on fights like coven for pushing back the rapist adds.If the fight consists of tanking lots of adds then the black ox statue would be neficial for gaining aggro as i can AOE taunt and make sure they always stay on myself instead of others. The final option leg sweep is also a strong choice as a 5 second stun can be very beneficial in many add situations. Overall this line of talents really depends on what type of adds your dealing with and what you need to do with them.
Level 75 talent - This row is based around survivability. If extra healing is needed then Healing elixir would be the go to talent, however in Antorus Mystic vitality and Dampen Harm prove to be king, Dampen harm is a flat damage reduction of 20-50% for 10 seconds depending on how hard you are hit, so it is a very strong CD, and mystic vitality is our goto talent for magic damage reduction allowing us to put more of the damage into stagger.
Level 90 talent - This row is based around damage. Rushing jade wind is the goto talent for this row adding an extra ability to our rotation which is just a flat damage increase as we can maintain this 100% of the time. Invoke niuzao or dave as he is known as is a 45 second pet which does aoe damage, which can be beneficial on some add fights as it can taunt however damage wise rushing jade win comes out on top, fiunally special delivery is essentially a weaker keg smash that procs when using ironskin or purifying brew, this can however be useful as it slows for 50% for 15 seconds which can be useful on heavy add fights which can be slowed.
Level 100 talent - This row focuses on survivability or damage increase depending on which talent you take. Elusive dance is never taken due to the fact that High tolerance is much better at damage reduction and smoothing out our damage taken. However if your after damage the choice would be blackout combo which changes your rotation a litttle by having you cast blackout strike then tiger palm for its damage to increase by 200%. Blackout combo is also useful for fights such as varimathras as the blackout strike and ironskin brew effect means your pause stagger for 3 seconds which can be the difference between living or dying when you cant be healed.
How do you prioritize your stats and why?
Secondary stats for a monk a fairly unique in their priority due to how the class works, as mentioned above Crit is our highest priority with the healing aspect, this is closely followed by mastery, which allows us to have a higher chance to dodge after every cast of blackout strike or breath of fire. Next would be versatility which is obtained for the flat damage increase and damage reduction offered, finally haste this is a weird stat for monks we dont hate it but we dont love it, it is in theory our highest priority till we hit 14.30% then it drops down to least priority, which is why i saved it for last, this is so keg smash is on a 7 second cd, which smooths out our rotation extremely well.
What state is your Artifact in? 75 traits 990 ilvl
Where do you acquire knowledge about your Class? Monk discord, Icy veins, wowhead, youtube, streams and experience.

Raiding History:
ToT 12/12 Normal (My first ever full clear out of lfr xD)
SoO 9/13 Heroic/Mythic
HFC 13/13 Heroic
EN 1/7 Mythic
ToV 3/3 Heroic
NH 4/10 Mythic ( The start of my desire for pushing mythic content)
ToS 9/9 Mythic with Cutting Edge (This was the tier that I really started to raid properly and push for cutting edge)
Antorus 6/11 Mythic
Everything was obtained during current tier.
ToT-HFC was on a Restoration Shaman - EN-NH was on a Havoc DH - ToS Druid tank - Antorus Monk tank
Describe your previous/current raiding experience: I have included this below...
Tell us about your previous guilds and your reasons for leaving them:
- Cupcake Squad (ToT) - Raider - was only a casual guild and i wanted to try Heroic
- Hostile (SoO) - Raider - I took a break at the end of SoO so i left the guild after we progressed 9/13 Heroic/Mythic
- EON (EN) - Raider - Guild collapsed after first few days of Mythic, i dont remember why but people just started to leave after 1/7 M
- I cant remember the guild i was with for NH - I do remember i left as i had a better chance of progress elsewhere for ToS
- Final Evolution (2/9 Mythic ToS) - Raider - Guild promised more than it could handle, and the rough summer release hindered our progress in Mythic down to 2 bosses over a 3 week period which was disappointing.
- The High council (3/9 ToS to present) - Raider - With me being main tank i was also responsible for calling certain mechanics during boss fights. - I am leaving this guild (my current) due to it falling apart, we lost some valuable core members recently after progress on Kin'Garoth came to a halt due to multiple reasons, this prompted others to follow, so I am now looking elsewhere to continue Antorus and Progress in BFA.
More Information:
Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance? Yes
We are raiding Sundays at start of each Tier for 3-4 weeks. Are you aware of it? Yes
Are you able to Listen and Speak on Teamspeak? Yes
What qualities do you bring to a Raid? Im a vocal tank who isn't afraid to talk, and will speak up when i feel necessary, im also happy to call out mechanics if needed
How comfortable are you playing your offspecs? offspec not so much, alts I have my Blood DK and guardian druid at 958 and 957 ilvl respectively
How do you feel about progression raiding? its the sole reason i play the game, if i wasnt pushing end game content id have no reason to play
Where did you hear about Curse of Years and do you know anyone in the guild? I posted in the WoW forums and Nagassh left a reply.
What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years? after a talk with Nagassh, i feel like this guild is what im looking for and can supply me with what i desire when it comes to raiding.
Do you play outside of raid? Yes more than i should
Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?
my logs arent the best, but i generally dont care too much about them, as long as i survive and do mechanics and raid well i believe that is much more important, once a boss is on farm then i aim for logs. With that being said im someone who always wants to get better, and someone who wants to push his limits, so i hope you consider me, thanks for reading :)
