Battletag: zirlar#2337
Describe your choice of talents and why you've chosen them: Talents vary on a case by case basis. Generally in current content the idea is to maximise use of germination on priority targets with using cultivation. This all causes mastery stacks and thus increases healing. Unfortunately there is not much choice with the ideal talent setup this tier.
How do you prioritize your stats and why? Resto druids generally favour a mixed spread of stats. Using Leaf’s stat weight weak aura can provide some useful ideas about stat weights. In general however item level upgrades are usually upgrades, however I try to keep a balance of stance.
What state is your Artifact in? 1st point in Concordance.
Where do you acquire knowledge about your Class? Reading anything and everything, watching videos, using tools such as the resto druid legendary analyser, Warcraft logs etc.

Raiding History:
Describe your previous/current raiding experience: Experience Previous expansions: In the past I raided on my mage in a top 200 guild called Revelations on Defias Brotherhood. The character is called Zirlar and is currently on Zenedar. I have not played him for a long time. During my time in Revelations we managed to defeat Zogg Sauron 8 days post launch.
I have tried to come back to WOW but only raided semi casually although have killed bosses on the highest level of content on various characters, although have not been able to progress to kill the end bosses, as I did not have time enough to commit to the raid schedules due to busy university. This however has changed as I am employed and have a steady job as I have described above.
This expansion I have cleared 10/10 Mythic Nighthold, 2/3 TOV (would love to kill Helya, and 7/7 EN).
Tell us about your previous guilds and your reasons for leaving them: Unforunately the guild 'Soak It' ended up disbanding due to recruitment problems. I then joined Necro whcih was a mistake and apparently was recruited a few hours prior to a raid as they were desparate. After 10 days the GM's friends transferred and therefore I lost my raid spot. Next I joined Basic. This guild did not work out after I raised concenr that despite being an English speaking guild, multiple large groups of people speeking Sweedish and thus creating what I felt was a divide in the guild which I believe is not healthy. Subsequently we agreed that the guild would not work out for me and thus we parted ways.
I next trialled with Essence, a 2 day a week guild. They were very impressed with my attitude but felt I would be better suited to a guild that raided longer hours and were in the region of 400 to 800 progress and that I should aim to be a top performer there. They felt that this would give me more chance to develop as a resto druid. I have played mage long term and rolled a resto druid at the start of the expansion to try something different. I love it and feel I get better week by week. Zenfury the raid leader has agreed to give me a reference.
More Information:
Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance? Yes
We are raiding Sundays at start of each Tier for 3-4 weeks. Are you aware of it? Yes
Are you able to Listen and Speak on Teamspeak? Yes to both
What qualities do you bring to a Raid? I believe that I am a reliable raider with a good attitude and a willingness to learn from mistakes as a team. I believe that I have a mature analytical attitude. and work to improve them in a non confrontational way, that nevertheless is open to constructive criticism and working towards the common good i.e. progress. I am a true believer that no one person is more important than the raid and therefore am always proud of the player who works towards doing the ‘additional jobs’ at a detriment to their own log ranking. Whilst rankings have their place, I believe that for a large number of teams aiming towards higher ranks on progress can slow down progress. What I care about is – what world rank can we achieve as a guild and if we can try and beat that the next tier. It does not matter if we do or not, just that the spirit is towards this aim.
How do you feel about progression raiding? See above for integrated discussion.
Where did you hear about Curse of Years and do you know anyone in the guild? Conducting a search on wowprogress.com
What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years? After speaking to two of the officers I felt that the attitude was one that would seem to promote the correct raid environment for me.
Do you play outside of raid? Yes. Try to do some mythic plus content, dailies for the legendary chance and also to play my alt which is a 903 ilevel mage called Zirlla on Ravencrest.
Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application? I am looking to integrate quickly and make myself an important part of the raid team for Tomb of Sargeras and the long term future. My aim is to have fun with a raid team, thus improving my game experience for the long term and hopefully be an asset to any raid team that I join, whilst appreciating each and every member of the raid for the asset that they are.
Tell us a joke: Why was six scared of seven……………
……. Because seven eight nine.
Wow that was a bad joke. :D
