Describe your choice of talents and why you've chosen them:
Final Verdict - none of the other talents come close in DPS output.
Zeal - Zeal is a slight ST DPS gain and also adds permanent, slight cleave to your main rotation which can help additionally for several fights like Mythic Ursoc, also marginally.
Blinding Light - Decent AoE DPS choice, the other 2 aren't of much use in a raid environment.
Blade of Wrath - Unless you get high enough crit, Blade of Wrath will be the best choice for both ST and AoE fights.
Eye for an Eye - Not really anything useful for raids in that tier, should Divine Purpose ever become a valid choice, Justicar's Vengeance might be picked.
Divine Intervention - can help soak additional mechanics without risk off dying and lowers the cooldown of the strongest defense we have.
Crusade - Currently 'the' talent to pick in this row, combined with the artifact traits nothing will come close to output currently.

How do you prioritize your stats and why?
Currently for retribution it basically boils down to: Get everything that has both, Crit and haste on it. Haste so you can get Holy Power faster by lowering the cooldown on the main generators for it, and thus being able to use your spenders more frequently. And on top of that haste crit is currently the best option to gain damage.
As to why: From sims, personal testing, as well as talking to other paladin from progress guilds and looking at WCL.

What do you think about Artifact and how important it is for your spec (traits etc)?
The Paladin artifact is really important to level until you gain the "Echo of the Highlord" trait, which would generally be the 22nd trait to get. It is the last ST DPS increase trait in the whole artifact, aside from the "Ashbringer's Light" trait which is only obtainable after buying all other traits.
A lot of the traits are really important for paladin DPS, especially Wrath of The Ashbringer, as it increases the duration of your Crusade, and you generally want to try and get that trait on your relics as well.

Where do you acquire knowledge about your Class?
Class discord, friends in other progress guilds and trying out things by myself.

Raiding History:

Describe your previous/current raiding experience: Not that great - had a raid leader who never took advice from officers and also didn't seem to have been researching most fights or even what most classes could and could not do with legion. Ultimately the guild I was in is about to quit raiding altogether after the other strong core players and me left together.

Tell us about your previous guilds and your reasons for leaving them:

Anathema - EU Wrathbringer during all of WotlK. I left at early ICC due to real life commitments with working, moving and other things and ultimately wanted to quit the game at that point, sold everything associated and just left for a while.

Been in a few smaller guilds, non progressive when I started anew in early cataclysm but no serious raiding until the start of Legion when I joined The ÐreamCatchers, and have now left due to aforementioned reasons.

More Information:

Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance?
Yes, should be 99%+ attendance.

We are raiding Sundays at start of each Tier for 3-4 weeks. Are you aware of it?
Yes
Are you able to Listen and Speak on Teamspeak?
Yes and yes.

What qualities do you bring to a Raid?

I bring pure dedication to the raid, always trying to push myself to the limit for the sake of progress. I always stay up to date with the next fights we progress on and know in advance about any tactics needed, and if needed specific to my class/role. I bring my own flasks, food and potion and am generally a drama free person. I'm able to take criticism very well, and will generally ask for more details on what is being criticized so I can improve it as much as possible. Outside of raids I'm always free to talk to and chill around with, I'm fairly sociable and try to integrate myself into new groups.

How do you feel about progression raiding?

I love it, and want to dedicate myself to it. I play WoW for the progress in the PvE endgame.

Where did you hear about Curse of Years and do you know anyone in the guild?
I saw you on wowprogress.

What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years?
Your raid times are pretty much exactly what I am looking for. I rarely am able to raid at 8pm or prior due to other commitments, so as late as possible was the perfect fit for me.
Also from watching your kill-videos, the voicecom seems very clean during fights, people don't talk over each other without reason and you seem to have a good structure as to who calls things, which is very important to me.

Do you play outside of raid?
Yes, I'm always up for M+ and other things when I'm online.

Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?
I realize my logs and my artifact aren't exactly 'top-notch' right now, but this is - in part - due to me having begun raiding this expansion on a Demon Hunter until I rerolled Paladin after my first 2 mythic kills. My artifact has all the necessary DPS traits needed for solid progression though. I also got fairly unlikely and got 2 bad legendaries so far..

Tell us a joke: Outlaw rogues are the most viable, fun and reliable DPS spec that currently exists in WoW. Period.

Hi Kevin,

Thank you for your application to us, although our melee team currently has outstanding attendance with great performance so I wouldn't be able to fit you in without a deep rotation within melee. Therefore I have to decline your application for now.

Thanks,
Y
