Soiprax Holy Priest Application

If you wish to apply to us, this is the place for you!

Your name, age, gender and location:
Hi, my name is Robert, im 24 years old, and from Denmark where im living with my gf and our 6 weeks old daughter.

Character info:
Soiprax, level 100 Blood elf priest

Role - Your preferred raid role and any offspec:
Healing, but also occasionally DPS if raid composition requires it.

Character related information:

Glyphs & talents - Pick two encounters and describe which talents and glyphs (and possibly spec) you use, and why:

Glyphs are pretty locked right now due to mana not being as limited, so glyphs are binding heal, circle of healing and renew. If i were to change one, i would change binding heal with lightwell, and sometimes do so on progress fights that have alot of spikey dmg on people.

Binding heal glyph makes me able to heal 3 targets for a moderate amount, one being myself. This glyph makes spot healing alot more powerfull, but its also a powerfull defensive tool, as you can take alot of damage and heal other people at the same time.

This is very relevant on the encounters where dmg is more moderate but not super spikey.

When the fight is more spikey, such as xhul (hc) lightwell can quickly power ahead as its more effective healing very often, as it reacts faster than most healers, and delivers alot of healing as a hot in a very short time span.

Same goes for talents, not changing much - again because of mana being close to unlimited currently.
On farm i would change twist of fate for power infusion as it would hardly proc due to people taking alot less damage.

Certain things that could change, is desperate prayer and angelic bulwark. This is imo a personal preference, as desperate is a healing tonic on steoroids, but angelic is there when you need it, almost. But very often i find it proccing when theres no real danger, and thus putting it on cd for when you really need it, where desperate prayer is in control to use when needed.

Stats - How do you prioritise your stats?
For holypriest its the following, in my opinon, theres alot of debate on the mastery or crit stat.
Spellpower / Intellect > spirit till comfort > Multistrike > haste > mastery/crit > vers

In theory, 1 int > 1 multi, but as thats rarely the case, the list would realisticly look more like this;

Spellpower > spirit till comfort > multistrike > haste > intellect > crit/mastery

Class knowledge - Where do you acquire information and knowledge about your class? :
Talking to other fellow priests, learn what they are doing, looking at their logs and armory, trying to understand how they are doing things, and learn from that.

Online tools also include howtopriest.com forums, and mmo-champion forums.

More information...
Raiding times - Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time? (Optional raid on Sunday). Note that on start we raid of tier Wed/Thu/Mon/Sun and then push Heroic on Sunday as optional raid:
Wednesday and thursday

Teamspeak- yes

Value - What qualities do you bring to a raid?
As a player, im one whos aware of others position and whereabouts - semi required by my class, to make full use of my spells, allthough i also have addons to help me out doing this.

Via my class, its raidhealing, and lifegrip, which can prove to be extremly helpfull, though not mandatory in raids.

Motivation & attitude - Share how you feel about progression raiding.
Progression raiding is what drives me in World of Warcraft, i dont mind the wipes, thats what makes you better, this is imo required from the wipes, understand what what went wrong, and look at it to improve.

Faults - What are your faults in relation to raiding?
Defo being abit to eager, and having crazy ideas about how i can use my class to accomplish certain things, like gripping people over a mine on imperator, only to realise that it triggers it, as if they run through it.
On farm, i can zone out abit, just going by the standards, thus making me react a bit slower on sudden events.

Curse of Years - Where did you hear about us? What encouraged you to apply?
My long time friends Mercedese (known him since BC) and Serista, from MoP.

Last Words - Is there anything else you would like to say?

First off - thank you for reading my application.

Secondly i would like to add that my raid days might change over time, and not be 100% set in stone due to my daughter, and not knowing how days look in anything from 2 weeks time and onwards, but i will definetly be able to raid twice atleast per week, aiming at three, but i cannot make that promise into legion, as i dont know how my life looks, as im ending my education this summer.

Guilty pleasure - What do you get excited about (non WoW related)?
My running, biking, swimming - pretty much anything sports related :)

Hi,

Currently we cannot guarantee you a full raiding spot as you cannot fulfill our schedule in 100%. We will open this for another round when you are certain you can commit to 3 days raiding fully (with few Sundays at start).

Apology for very late answer in here on forum.

Cheers,
Yse.
