About You..

Your name, age, gender, hobbies?:
I am Menno and I am a 22 year old guy. For hobbies there are many things that I like to do with one of them of course playing World of Warcraft. Other than that I also currently play League of Legends and Hearthstone but also like to play other games when they get released (not having a preferred genre really). Other than gaming I also enjoy going out with friends and playing different sports.

Where are you from?:
I am from the Netherlands and I have been close to two years in Spain by now. Will go back to the Netherlands in about 2 months.

What's your PC spec, is it ready for 20 Mythic Raiding?:
I play on a laptop that is more than suitable for 20-man Mythic raiding. The laptop is an MSI GT70 and currently has an Nvidia Geforce GTX 870M with an Intel Core i7-3630QM 2.4ghz processor and 8GB of ram.

• What spec you'r playing and what you can tell us about it (inc. talents, glyphs, most important usage of your abilities)?:
I play a Shadow priest, which is of course the only damage dealer priest spec there is. Even though there is only one spec the level 100 talents make it as if I play three specs in one, each with their own playstyle and stat priorities.

Talent wise I mostly play with Angelic Bulwark in the level 15 tree as it is split between Angelic Bulwark or Desperate Prayer often, but as damage taken can be sudden I prefer Angelic Bulwark as Auspicious Spirits can take a lot of focus. In some fights Spectral Guise can be useful, with especially Iron Maidens this tier as it negates the damage from Blood Ritual (even though the beam continues to exist) and ignores the penetrating shot. There was also talks about it ignoring Rapid Fire but that was shown to be inconsistent.

Level 30 would always be angelic feather. Body and soul can be good but I prefer to use my shields when I have to move so it does damage to the boss. With feathers I can also help others and it can be used more often. Phantasm is never chosen really.

Level 45 depends on the fight. The base talent is insanity, both in CoP and AS (level 100 talent/spec) but sometimes this is switched with SoD. SoD is used on Hans'gar and Iron Maidens. Mindbender can also be used on Iron Maidens but I prefer SoD as it makes me do damage while avoiding the cannon shots in the intermediary phases.

Level 60 is always Dominate mind. The other two are plain useless at the moment and dominate mind is very useful for the blast furnace mythic. I have experience with the mind controlling of the engineers and the guards.

Level 75 is a no-brainer and is Twist of Fate as with adds the buff is up too much. Shadowy Insight is never chosen as it can actually ruin the rotation or pop right when it was about to get off cd anyway. Power Infusion can be chosen however this both has a positive and a negative. It can be chosen to see a later phase of the fight to quicker learn the boss, to then switch to ToF when getting the boss below 35%. This is useful for single target fights as there ToF only becomes useful after 35%. The negative is that it removes its use from the phase you were already past when switching.

Level 90 is almost always cascade currently after they buffed (fixed) it and allowed multistrike to work. Only on one fight do I still use Halo and that is Gruul. Other fights Cascade just does too much damage and is my highest damage ability in fights such as Beastlord.

Level 100 is a funny one. This one changes per fight and changes everything. Currently with the high crit levels I almost always play Auspicious Spirits. Because of the high crit it outshines CoP on every fight where multi-dotting is possible, even for a short while. The only fights where I play CoP are Kromog and Gruul. Gruul can be both AS and CoP. AS damage can be very high but also very low, which is why I pick CoP there as the damage is certain and killing the boss is most important. I have read that Vent (Void entropy) might actually be good on some bosses next patch, but do not know how that will go yet so will have to look into that more as the patch gets closer, also it means another gearset which might immediately mean it is not going to happen.

Glyphs I use are: Glyph of reflective shield for the extra damage while moving, mind flay for extra movement speed, and fade/VE/silence (this depends on whether VE will be used as a major cooldown or not for burst healing or that it is important that I take less damage such as soaking duty on Iron Maidens or need silence for engineers on blast furnace).

Abilities is fun again as that is dependent on the level 100 talents.

For CoP the rotation is quite standard: Mind spike 3x Mind blast till 4 orbs. Then Mind spike 2x, SWP, MB, VT, DP, MB, INS, INS, MB, DP, INS, INS, INS, MB. Then Mind Spike 3x + Mind blast till 4 orbs again. Mind spikes can be changed into shadowfiend on cooldown, halo on cooldown, or Cascade. However cascade would only be used with CoP for Kromog, which is then used on the hands and pillars. Haste trinkets can ruin a nice 5orb rotation which is why fillers are used till dots run off if necessary so mind spike doesnt remove them.

Close to 20% I stop the dotweaving as the dots have to be gone when I can SWD. Then the priority becomes: DP if 5 orbs, SWD 2x, MB, cooldowns, Insanity. I often use DP here to continue my 4-set if not at 5 orbs yet, or to continue using Insanity.

Then AS. In here the priority is to never get above 5 orbs (weakaura for that to show spirits in the air), so DP with 5 orbs, Cascade if adds, Mind blast, SWP on all targets, then VT on all targets (if alive long enough to get full potential), then instant mind spikes/Insanity/mind flay. Below 20% this would be DP if 5 orbs, Cascade if important (such as cannons Iron Maidens) SWD 2x, mind blast, shadowfiend, SWP on all targets, VT on all targets, Insanity/mind flay/instant mind spikes. DP is here also used below 5 orbs to ensure the 12-stack of my 4-set.

Of course other than the damage abilities VE can be used as a raid cooldown as it can be insane with cascade etc. Shields are used for movement as it also does damage to the boss with reflective shield and dispersion when necessary. Feathers can be placed for others or for quick movement for myself (if mind flay buff is not enough). Mind sear insanity can be used on hands of kromog etc. (Beastlord I did not use it during progression as warlocks were better at killing the wolves). Silence can be used on engineers for the blast furnace etc.

• What stats are you prioritizing?:
The stats that I am currently prioritising are Int>crit>haste>multistrike>versatility>>>mastery. This is the prioritisation for Auspicious Spirits and multi-target CoP. Mastery in this prioritisation is about four times less important than crit, which really shows the gap in the stats.

For Vent I would have to prioritise haste above crit for the secondaries which makes it why new gear would be necessary to make it good.

• Where do you acquire information and knowledge about your class?:
I get my class knowledge from two forums. One is the priest thread on MMOC where there is also a priest discussion. I also read howtopriest as most of the theorycrafting is done there.

Dont judge me for not focusing the turret in the LFR this evening:p Just wanted to make sure all the UI elements showed.

This is the last one I was in with the guild. Ranks I dont often look at other than trying to see how the higher rank people play. Not a lot of logs from the last weeks due to the amount of called raids.

This one shows a better picture I think as it is the second kill on Iron maidens. Gear is of course 4 ilevels lower which makes it so the damage is lower as well. Other than that it shows good mental instinct uptime and alright shadow orb usage. Had some wasted but that is to be expected with second kills with it all being quite hectic still.

• Share your guild history as well as reason for leaving them and your current guild ?:
The first guild I joined was Knights of Ni in Vanilla I think. Stayed till end of TBC where I joined Brotherhood of Steel. Joined another guild to raid more and joining Outerspace whom I knew then.

Went from Brotherhood of Steel to Outland shadows on horde side as we struggled to get raids and made a guild application to Outland Shadows. Was the best decision as we got accepted and managed to stay together. Was still playing with some from then till now (such as Zastin and Reynaerd).

Outland Shadows merged with Maligned if I remember correctly. Raided till end of ToT where I went to Conviction. Went to conviction as Latill and Electronicus said it was best to end it as it was not going well. Got accepted in Conviction together with them and Kizax and later Siccy also joined us during SoO together with Zastin, Reynaerd and some more.

Now Conviction called off all raiding for the future and am looking for a new guild to raid in and CoY seems very interesting to me due to the lower raid hours and still good progression with also having people that I know inside.

• Describe your past/current raid experience:
Real raiding I started in WotLK. In TBC I got carried through Karazhan and was told to stand in the beam of Netherspite etc. Was really new. In Wotlk I joined BoS and started warrior tanking with Reynaerd. Went through all the raids on normal and half of ICC on heroic. Think we did some heroic in ToCr as well.

Cata was mostly normals, with some heroic in Dragon Soul and close to clearing it.

Then in MoP I played mistweaver monk and raided more. Did some heroics in the first tier, not kill the end bosses I think. ToT I joined Conviction, who had already killed all of ToT (so does not really count). In SoO we cleared everything old heroic/new mythic.

WoD we have done 6/7M and 8/10M, killed 7/7M when outgearing it.

• Please list your alts via LINK:
I have alts but none at level 100 so I do not think it is worth listing them. Anyway the mains that I have raided with that are now alts are:

http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/arathor/sanctifira/advanced
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/arathor/mady/advanced

These are the most important alts that I have. Others are all 85/90 because of pvp.

More Information..

• Raid times: Can you agree with our raid times 21:00 to 00:00 Server time (UTC+1 also Sunday for extra raids)?:
wednesday, thursday, sunday, monday
• Teamspeak: Can you use SPEAK and LISTEN to Teamspeak?:
Yes
• You and us: Would you be willing to modify or change your spec to assist the guild?:
Yes
• What our guild can benefit from your class and yourself as a player?:
As a player I like to research my class well to always be well prepared before raids (including consumables etc.). I also change specs if necessary. Other than that I like to discuss tactics on forums etc. to see what would be best for us. I also like to do things outside of raids and help others when possible. I am also an avid pet collector and always in for some pet battles.

Other than that I am up for playing in other games as well, and also talking on TS (even though I do not talk always, when I start I do like it).

• What is your attitude towards progress/what motivate you in WoW?:
My attitude towards progression is that I like to do it and am quite competitive myself. I keep myself updated to my class and like to play it to its best. I do not have the time to go all out progression, which is why I like the 3 to 4-day setup that you have. A 4th day I can also play, but not always. What motivates me to play WoW currently are pets and raiding. It used to be pvp as well but I have played that less and less as I had nobody to do it with. Wiping I do not mind as it is part of progression.
• Why would you like to play with us? What we got that others don't?:
Well for one there are multiple people in the guild that I have played with before in Conviction, but also before that. I also like the 3-day setup that you have together with the progress that you do. It shows to me that you have things well handled within the guild and prepare well.
• Do you play outside raids or log only for them?:
I log in outside of raids currently only for raiding and collecting pets. If there are other fun things to do such as pvp or other events I am more than willing to log in. Currently there is not that much to do outside of raiding, which is why I only log in for garrisons as it is close to free gold.
• Anything to add?:
Not much else to add really other than that I hope that you have liked what I have written about myself and how I play. Hope that it all turns out well.
• Tell us a joke:
Okay I am not one to have many jokes but here goes a dadjoke: What is brown and is sticky?

A stick.

Sorry for adding this after the application but only saw this option after as I had never seen it before. Did not expect to see myself in the server rankings as I do now.
