Your Name, Age, Gender and Location:

Tell us a little bit about yourself (non-WoW related Interests, Hobbies etc)
I'm Gregor, I love strategy games, most recently total war Warhammer series has been getting good, excited for immortal empires. in the past I played American Football in the UK to the national level, competing multiple times for Team GB before a major injury. In all scenarios I put my full effort and attempt to master it, I believe in short amounts of time that i can get to an extremely high level of play, Other achievements include Dota2 Immortal rank 2000 Eu, as well as playing regional tournaments under a sponsor LDN UTD. I also played league a while ago achieving diamond (season 5-6) while also returning to league in S11 and getting to diamond again. Lastly during S2 of Overwatch's release I achieved masters (mostly playing Ana(broken at the time)).

What strengths do you feel your class currently brings to the raid?
DK over all specs has excellent and occasionally mandatory niche raid utility, example being Abom limb on anduin making Kingsmourne phases a breeze, otherwise even just having the ability to grip an add onto boss to have it be cleaved into oblivion on command is exceptionally useful in niche scenarios. Past that AMZ is a passable raid defensive, not quite the monster cd it was in Nathria, On top you get your AMS, Lichborne and IBF, all great defensives that double as a method to cheese mechanics, Examples being; AMS for MC Lines on Jailer P1, IBF and AMS for Xymox traps in CN (and i suppose Sepulcher but its pointless), Lichborne for very niche fear situations.
Spec Strengths;
Frost - On demand burst AOE with options to make it sustained AOE in situations that favour it (low movement/low forced movement mechanics), Frost can Also lightly funnel with breath due to increased amounts of add's feeding more RP to the breath, Frost easily has one of the strongest 2 min CD's if you can manage it effectively, However in the current expansion it has had the opportunities to be "toxic" towards the use of things like AMZ or Battlerez'ing as you have to make the decision between keeping up your strongest cooldown or potentially losing it. Id class frost as my Main spec
Unholy - Excellent Execute with Tierset, Isn't punished as much by movement as frost or many other melee dps due to Clawing shadows viability on high movement fights as well as your pets do all the work for you :p, Unholy also doesn't suffer as much from the same issues I listed at the end for Frost, on aoe and cleave it tends to fall off hard, but pulls ahead on pure ST
Blood - Right now blood is in its element, large hp pools to work with, great weapons to accent its gameplay and a way to cheat many mechanics, after CN blood has the strongest AMZ, the best form of the raid utility that the others bring via grips with the addition of Gorefiends (massgrip), With cooldowns a blood dk should almost be immortal due to how its best DR source Will of the Necropolis works (retroactively, can explain further but im pretty sure you know), along with having a built in cheat death you can recover from 90% of bad situations if you react properly.
How comfortable are you playing your offspecs?
Very Comfortable, Although i do not enjoy Unholy and for that reason unless specifically requested I avoid it, to the degree of playing other classes and keeping them geared for situations where that might be required, However I do play it. As for blood I know its ins and outs and am very comfortable playing it, Due to roster restraints i was required to play Blood dk for Rygalon and Jailer, On rygalon I managed boss positioning as well as taking 2/3 of the orb soaks during the downstairs phase, as the offtank had a tendency to die or proc their purgatory, which I had to convince them to use. On top of this I tanked jailer, at the time the offtank was refusing to play anything other than his DK to get gavel in vault, for lack of better options this had to be accepted for what it was, and i had to play NF Blood in order to do all the long distance soaks in P2, My jobs were as follows to be succinct; Boss positioning in p1 where possible, tank soaks 1 and 3 (the hard one overlapping with MC lines), Long distance pillars in p2 as well as boss positioning to make sure bloods went smoothly, Chain breaks in P3, as well as positioning boss so that it wasn't awkward to soak his azeroth wipe mechanic, and boss positioning and 1st meteor cleave in p4.

Raiding History:
Describe your previous/current raiding experiences / guilds. including reasons for leaving them:
Started seriously raiding in legion, achieving CE in Nighthold, my first serious raid, Continuing on to 5/9 in Tomb of Sargeras, with the guild disbanding on Mistress. In Shadowlands the guild reformed with my best friend GM'ing for it, Progress was slow, many players were washed up and had little interest in improving and progress was slow, we got to 9/10 when we sadly discovered that my good friend became terminally ill, as a result we disbanded on Sire on a 2% wipe being the best pull. Due to these circumstances i took a break for the rest of S1, I came back in S2 and tried to find somewhere new, Shortly into the tier i joined "Ascendance" on Painsmith prog and played with them through fatescribe at a WR 402, before i left for a holiday, which the guild leadership approved and said was fine, During my absence they Disbanded on Sylvanas. Without recent logs to find a suitable guild i joined a friends guild to help them out on sylvanas, taking them to WR 1100 (roughly), at which point i offered to continue helping for S3 as they just lost an officer, From that point with some work from the raiders and myself we managed to get the guild to a respectable WR 600 in Sepulcher. My role as an officer included tactics work, roster choices and some recruitment. On top of this i started the guilds Independent Boosting services, managed payment, advertising and pricing as well as leading the raids involved with boosting, During the short month we spent boosting we acquired 2.8million gold for the GBANK as well as a very favourable share 85% to raiders, my philosophy was always to put the interests of the raiders first and keep them happy.
More Information:
Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance?
0 Issues with maintaining 90% attendance, with likely 100% attendance barring holidays that i would have approved by yourselves.
What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years?
You guys fitted the criteria for a guild that would make me feel comfortable to commit to long term, as well as id be lying if I wasn't hoping that the guilds name being a spell from Warhammer fantasy and an officer named Nagash didn't tempt the warhammer lover in me.
Do you play much outside of raiding?
I always do the minimum requirements set by the guild and usually on 2 characters to give myself the most flexibility, at some point i would like to push M+ if i found a team I could vibe with.
Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?
Nothing to note, I'm afraid I've already put myself in for a TLDR situation, its been a while since I used a forum for applications (i love this method) , I hope I'm taken through to at least questions about my application, my logs aren't where id like them to be, but I'm fairly confident i can explain most issues we faced during the tier.
