our Name, Age, Gender and Location:
Let me introduce myself. My name is Sean Grosse. I am 26 years old and live in a town called Southwell in the UK. I am also Male.
Tell us a little bit about yourself (non-WoW related Interests, Hobbies etc)
I am a massive football fan. I support Manchester United and with that I am also a season ticket holder (if covid doesnt lock up down). I got to pretty much all home games, and away games when they are abroad. However with my new job I have had to give my season ticket a miss for next season. I am a shift leader for The barcodewarehouse, applying software to pretty much all delivery services. Other than that i am playing wow

Describe your choice of talents and why you've chosen them:
I guess it little simple as a healer dont really need to swap things out for more dps etc :P, however CN has just nice lovely fights to have fun with. I am ventyr so i dont have the fun of 'p wave'. I am ventyr because of M+ tbh i enjoy that too so i got the balanced, personally i dont think there is much difference between them. So talents i normal run, torrent, echo, spirit wolf, eathern wall, graceful spirit, cloudburst and wellsping. These talents basically talk for themselves. However you get to sunking, now you get some fun :). i swap out torrent, echo and wellspring for undulation, deluge and ascendance this is to get so much out of the healing sunking to progress into next phases. Also i play around with APT for the extra ress if needed if we going to sac some one and wind rush totem for those fights u need some movement :)
How do you prioritize your stats and why?
I prioritize my stats to crit=versi, i do stack abit of mastery for when we are progressing as the extra healing when peeps are low can be important.
Where do you acquire knowledge about your Class?
I acquire a lot of my knowledge by 1. playing the class a lot through raids/M+ and sometimes PvP, but I do a lot of research looking at warcaft logs, or even looking up videos on youtube from other healers l. I am also in discord channel. But I also like to bounce off ideas with other shammies that are in the guild or just in the wild. :P I am a sub to madskillz to like to get some information off him for healers, not just shammy or every class

Raiding History:
Describe your previous/current raiding experience:
My previous raiding experience looks like this:
Legion: EN Cleared HC, ToV cleared HC, + mythic out of content, Nighthold cleared HC, Tomb cleared HC and Antorus 9/11 mythic ended with a guild break ready for BFA.
BFA: Uldir 7/8 Mythic no time to kill ghunn guild went on break ready for battle. Battle cutting edge. Palace 6/8 mythic. I then quit, as i didnt enjoy the state of the game.
SL: 9/10 mythic atm
Tell us about your previous guilds and your reasons for leaving them:
I can back into WoW at the beginning of WoD but was more off a PvPer than a raider. However I join a guild called the The imperium but I was on their pvp team not raiding. However going into Legion I started to raid with that becoming a member of there raid team and even an officer up until few weeks into Antorus. All though the imperium was a solid HC raiding guild they just couldn't make the transaction from HC to mythic, we had problem with ability and even attendance so we never really made it, even through the officer trying to recruit. So after a hard and long conversation with the guild leader and officers I decided to leave imperium to try and push my skills and enter the world of end content and mythic. And that is where I join a guild called Divine Retribution, I found this guild to be a middle ground between hardcore raiding guilds and guilds raiding for fun. We always had a goal before every bit of content to try and push that next step. But recently them seem to have gone backwards, struggling on hc bosses and some of the tactics on the earlier mythic bosses to. And I personally think that some of the best players are putting more effort into raids and prepping then others and sort of boosting them through. I moved to a guild on AD and worked with them to get cutting edge on jaina and the guild got cutting edge in palace however i quit with 6/8 mythic and moved to playing in classic. This was down to life issues and state of the game. I came back to shadowlands with no spot in the guild so i moved the ragnaros, and i now currenly 9/10 guild, killed sire this evening. I came in with guild already killed few boss, and i was a trail. I got my spot as a raider when the guild resto druid who is one of the first members had to leave from the RAF. I got a spot and was in the team that killed sludge/SLG and progressed 200 wipes on Sire. However the resto druid has come back from RAF and i have been benched since, everything i asked the offciers for any reasons they just seem to bypass the question :)
More Information:
Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance?
I have no problem in meeting these demands. I can pretty much make 100% of these raids unless I got on holiday.
We also raid on Sunday at the start of a new raiding tier. Are you aware of this?
I am aware of this and I have no problem to attend this too.
Are you able to Listen and Speak on Teamspeak?
I have a perfectly working headset and mic, and not shy to speak but ofc only in the right times.
What qualities do you bring to a Raid?
I believe I bring a confident player playing his class to the possible best he can be, but always looking to improve. I bring a positive attitude to every raid night even if that means we wipe all night on a progression boss or even being on a stand by, for the raid team to have a better set up to tackle the boss. I would also think I am approachable even if its to moan at someone to clear any problems they have on their chest or even to bounce ideas off to help improve playstyle or to get their head around a situation or tactic. Ofc I cant say I know every classes to the best but I would research to help. Also I main think I believe is that I would accept if I have done something wrong to affect the boss or even cause a wipe.
How comfortable are you playing your offspecs?
I would say I am 100%, I have played a lot of demo in M+ but started trying destro within raids.
How do you feel about progression raiding?
I feel that progression raiding is so important to help players and guilds take that tactic meeting/videos to the bosses face, to impermeant them or even change them to match the players play style as well as the guilds too.
Where did you hear about Curse of Years and do you know anyone in the guild?
With playing on arathor you hear a lot of Curse and what they have achieve through of the expansions/content. Also I have a little rogue friend called Naazo within the guild from our time at DR.
What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years?
I would like to push my skills even further to get a curve tittle and achieve, and I think that curse can help me improve and make that jump.
Do you play outside of raid?
I am on wow like everyday before work, after work, The only time I don't play wow in on a Saturday.
Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?
I appreciate the opportunity you have provided me to apply for this guild, I am so grateful for your time and efforts in reading this application
