General:
Your Name, Age, Gender and Location:
My name is Maximus, I'm 21 years old, male and from the UK!
Tell us a little bit about yourself (non-WoW related Interests, Hobbies etc)
I'm currently a third year Mathematics student in the UK. I was born in Russia but I've lived in the UK for the majority of my life. I play too much WoW, I'll tell you that right now but hey gotta use up that spare time somehow, eh? I'm a chill dude, always online doing shit, whether that's M+ or boost runs for gold. I'm a competitive player by nature and I always thrive to get the best out of my class in a raiding environment. I focus more on performing mechanics and being mechanically aware rather than being a dps whore. I've mained a Moonkin since I started the game back in Cataclysm. With regards to hobbies outside of WoW, I like to surf when I can! (When the weather is good, too!)

Describe your choice of talents and why you've chosen them:
The first talent I've chosen is Force of Nature, purely because the damage output is far better than any other talent in its row. Secondly, this is a very situational choice but if I need movement within a fight, I'll pick Wild Charge for the Boomie disengage or if not, I'll take Renewal for that instant 30% heal if I ever get critically low. Thirdly, I always take guardian affinity, so I take less damage overall. The 4th row again is situational but the usual pick is Typhoon, used as another interrupt on adds as well as solar beam. The next talent row I'm taking incarnation purely because it's the strongest talent right now and the damage out put when incarn is up is actually incredible. Combined with the following talent, Twin Moons, it's very strong and allows moonfire to do more damage and save a global when dotting up multiple targets. Last but not least, shooting stars is being taken for the extra Astral Power generation when dots are up, although I'm a big fan of taking Fury of Elune in M+ when we're doing large pulls. (This stacked with Incarnation is orgasmic).
How do you prioritize your stats and why?
I prioritise my stats using external programs like Raidbot to tell me what is lacking in my setup and what stacks I need to gain or drop. I generally have a good idea from talking amongst other top end boomies on the discord, theorycrafting what could work and what right now is the best stat(s) to stack.
Where do you acquire knowledge about your Class?
The Druid Discord is a good source but I also speak amongst friends who are top players and a few of whom are also boomies.

What state is the state of your Heart of Azeroth?
Currently level 375, I've been gearing up this druid in recent weeks after deciding I want to drop my warrior and retire it for a while. :)
The warrior I have has a neck item level of 383.
Link to your raid logs using using https://www.warcraftlogs.com/character/eu/bloodhoof/hellhein#.:
I can't find any of my boomie logs (can't look at past logs it seems) from Legion so I've linked my warrior ones, purely because they're the most recent ones (in Uldir) and I can assure you the boomie ones were more or less the same in Legion, if not better. :)
Raiding History:
I've always raided top 250 world since I started raiding, from Converge on Khadgar up to Without a Trace (where my alts currently are). I've achieved all the Cutting Edge's available to me, (apart from Highmaul) and I intend to carry on doing this.
I achieved Realm First: Ragnaros with Converge during Cata and then all the Cutting Edge's in Pandaria also. Then got Blackhand and Archimonde CE and have all of them in Legion also. We did this will maintaining a very good progression schedule, downing bosses rather quickly.
Describe your previous/current raiding experience:
I've never really had a poor raiding experience however for me now the time has come to move on and find a new home. The guild my warrior was in I knew was just a temporary thing, it was formed on a whim and people were already talking about moving on during raids, etc. (Not the setting you want to be raiding in at all). With regards to my expectations of you guys, I'm honestly just looking for a new home, with like-minded raiders whom want to progress through the current content at a solid pace. I'm someone who likes to spend time with the guild during M+, (I do too much of that, I'll let you know now :p) and just feel welcome within a community that just want to have fun and relax with one another.
My current raiding experience is 5/8M which is another core reason why I'm looking for a new home. In correlation to my past guilds, I've always been raiding high end with split alts and whatnot, meaning this level of progression we're at, with the members not on the same page as everyone else, just isn't an environment that is going to succeed tier after tier. During Legion, every tier we finished top 250 which I was satisfied with. I hope this makes sense as to why I'm applying as a boomie and not my warrior! I can say this now, with absolute certainty, I play my boomie far better than my warrior! :)
Tell us about your previous guilds and your reasons for leaving them:
I left Converge because it disbanded just after getting our Archimonde CE, the same happened for several of my guilds during Legion, including Nocturnal Supremacy and Echelon (both of which disbanded during raid tiers), leaving me in the situation to find a new home for my druid, which is what I wanted to play at the time. I then found myself retiring my druid in Without a Trace (a guild with old friends) and then playing my warrior again after friends said they were reforming a guild on my first ever realm, Bloodhoof for BfA progression.
More Information:
Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance?
I can indeed make these raids.
We also raid on Sunday at the start of a new raiding tier. Are you aware of this?
I am indeed.
Are you able to Listen and Speak on Teamspeak?
Of course.
What qualities do you bring to a Raid?
In all honesty, I'll give you exactly what you need - a top end Balance Druid that has been playing the spec for as long as I can remember, I've gotten every Cutting Edge so far (par a couple) and I've no intention of stopping. With regards to that, I am looking for a new home to settle in and be a core part of <Curse of Years> .You look absolutely perfect for me and I'm also a student and my degree is quite demanding so your raid times are also really ideal!
How comfortable are you playing your offspecs?
I'm very comfortable healing as Restoration, which I've done many times during progression.
How do you feel about progression raiding?
I absolutely love it. It's why I play the game really. I see myself as a disciplined Mythic raider who has the same goals as you do, in order to progress through high-end content at a solid pace. In that regard, I want to be part of a community which has a strong core for raiding and has some fun along the way. I feel I have much to offer to the raid team and having been experienced in Cutting Edge raiding for many expansions, achieving Realm Firsts and always pushing myself to be a better player, I feel this is the perfect place to continue that journey. I always come prepared to raids, I have no intention of wasting your time and I like to feel I’ve got good mechanical awareness and communicate effectively because after all, raiding is a collective effort!
Where did you hear about Curse of Years and do you know anyone in the guild?
I saw you guys on WoW Progress! :)
I do not know anyone in the guild, unfortunately.
What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years?
You guys seem exactly what I'm after, a closely knit guild who has the same ethos as myself, but with solid progression and the raid nights were perfect for me as well. (Had trouble finding a guild with the raid nights I needed).
Do you play outside of raid?
Of course! I'm always running M+ (I've got a Blood DK solely for this reason) and I'm always down for other in game things, too.
Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?
Not much else other than I hope you find this application fitting for an acceptance! :)
