Tell us a little bit about yourself (non-WoW related Interests, Hobbies etc)
I'm Davin, 36 (sadge) living in London with my 2 maine coon cats. Outside of gaming I love everything horror, binge anime and all the stereotypical gamer nonsense. I also can be found running, reading scary stuff or occasionally DJing when I get a chance (obscure Japanese techno - I know a walking meme at this point). At the moment I am playing Hades a lot on ps5, generally love platformers and rogue likes in general, but also other shitty party games like skribl / amogus when raid tier is near the end :stuck_out_tongue:

What strengths do you feel your class currently brings to the raid?
Overall, DPS DK is very strong in burst windows and has decent utility with grips and AMZ for raid (not as good as it was in nathria sadly :/). Abomination limb also very helpful in grouping up adds where needed.
Frost DK - very strong burst and great aoe damage (lihivum and anduin intermission great examples of these) on a 1.5-2 min window. Is a little bit more squishy than unholy during breath windows but for most bosses this tier it is the better DPS choice overall.
Unholy - potentially fantastic execute damage if lining up with lust / army / gavel. Isn't as affected by movement away from targets as frost is. Not such great aoe damage but pure single target it performs ahead of frost.
Blood - great for magic damage soaks, good self healing and utility with grips and AMZ. A little weak when not able to actively hit targets but has enough to survive a few moments like this. Damage taken can be a bit spikey but pooling RP ahead of dicey moments makes the self healing great.
How comfortable are you playing your offspecs?
100% comfortable - have switched between DPS frost and unholy for the first few bosses and am at the moment tanking Jailer prog (up to phase 3 at the moment). Will always bring whatever spec is needed for the specific boss / dependent on comp and damage profile needed.

Raiding History:
Have achieved cutting edge in all tiers since BoD, ranging in WR terms from 1200 or so up to 350. Have raided a mix of 2 or 3 days a week for several years - was on alliance side for all tiers until this one when I switched over as all the guilds I was in were struggling to recruit enough of a roster to reliably raid. Have played as DPS for the vast majority of experience, but have been off tank for a while (when main tank couldn't attend, or more recently on anduin for grippy duty). Current prog I have 8/11 kills, with 10% prog on Lords and currently progging jailer at around 4 mins into the fight (tanking).
The main reason for leaving my most recent guild was a difference in overall goals and approach to this: I am wanting a guild that prioritises kills over logs / individual parses and a team who will do what's needed for this even if it means doing things that reduce logs / parses. Examples of this are for anduin we had 2 players who continually ran into each other in p3 blasphemy because they wanted to continue hitting boss (on the eventual kill we ended up standing still for last set to avoid issues kekw), and lords we had dps who refused to bait the slumber pools because their dots would drop (we were not wiping to dps issues) - I mentioned these to GM and they said that as long as they were pumping they didn't care about mechanics not being perfect so I decided I wasn't the right fit at that point

Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance?
Closer to 100%, and if not I usually am able to give at least a week's notice if not.
What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years?
I was approached by Nagassh and after reading up on you guys sounded like a pretty cool place to raid, as well as lining up nicely with my availability :D The fact that you guys have been raiding for a while is also reassuring as I've had a fair few guilds fall apart on me mid tier in the last couple of expansions >.<
