Tell us a little bit about yourself (non-WoW related Interests, Hobbies etc)
My name is Anthony, i'm currently 18 years old and reside in Greece. I've generally played video games since i was really young, around 7-8 years old and started playing World of Warcraft on Legion with my first character being Demon Hunter. Outside of video games, i don't do anything really much because i'm not your average social guy and basically just play video games all day long (mostly World of Warcraft). There's really not much anything else about me to be honest :D.

Describe your choice of talents and why you've chosen them:
As of right now, the basic and most popular talent build is the Demonic Appetite one. It comprises of the Demonic Appetite talent which essentially has a chance to drop a soul fragment whenever you chaos strike, and together with the azerite trait Eyes of Rage you get more Eye Beam uptime. As for the other talents, my go to is always Demonic Appetite-Immolation Aura-Trail of Ruin- Soul Rending-First Blood-Fel Eruption-Demonic. Immolation Aura, Trail of Ruin, First Blood and Demonic are all basically bis because they are substantially better than the other ones. As for Soul Rending now, it is really useful since it can give you insane more self-healing and self-sustain so you can easily survive a lot more whilst also easing out the healers' jobs. On that same talent row, the other 2 talents are pretty much dependent on whether a specific boss has some sort of oneshot ability that you may need to soak and you need an immunity for that (e.g. behemoth). As for Fel Eruption, in ST it really does not matter whatever you choose from that talent row, however Fel Eruption is most likely better than any of the other 2 as there are bosses where a 4 second stun is very useful (e.g. conclave of the chosen)
How do you prioritize your stats and why?
Crit>=Vers>Haste>Mastery
Crit is useful for DH as getting crits while inside your meta windows can be very big + this tier, it's also way better because of inkpod, which you 100% want to crit for way more dmg.
Vers is just baseline increased damage, it is ok but just not that good as crit in most situations.
Haste is pretty useless to get on gear as you already take lots of haste through your Furious Gaze, Overwhelming Power, Meta etc..
Mastery is the weakest one as it Blade Dance/Death Sweep is far better, which is physical damage and mastery just increases chaos damage which is what Chaos Strike/Annihilation/Eyebeam use
Where do you acquire knowledge about your Class?
(Progress-wise):
First thing i check is logs, i 99% of the time i check whether i casted my CDs at the right time with the correct order and if i didn't fuck up my rotation somewhere. I would compare these logs to other DHs' logs who were able to minmax damage and try to do the same (of course, if it involves padding i wouldnt do it). If this doesn't seem to be helpful i would ask for help on the DH discord where there's multiple very excellent DH players there who are experts at theorycrafting and are able to solve the issue quite easily.
If i want to find which gear piece is best i would always go to sim first BUT there's always the coincidence that that sim could be a trap (as it happened this tier when it released, some gear pieces/azerites were simming higher/lower than they were supposed to be, e.g. undualating tides) so at that point you needed to guess which was best and/or go to the DH discord and have those theorycrafters answer you.
In addition, each tier I would always try to find which gear pieces are going to be the best and try to prioritize to get them ASAP (e.g the underrot weapon turned out to be extremelly good and you needed to farm it a lot until it eventually dropped). This means that I would try to bonus roll on those specific bosses which include a BiS item but since that early in the tier you can't 100% see whats gonna be BiS you would still need to find out through several ways.

Raiding History:
Describe your previous/current raiding experience:
I unfortunately started raiding only at around the end of Uldir, while i originally started playing WoW on legion, i just didnt want to get that competitive yet and wanted to focus a bit more on school stuff until its gone. I only really started getting into mythic raiding in BoD which i very much didn't like that tier neither did i ever really get any BiS gear because i was way too unlucky and pretty much discouraged me from farming logs, caring that much about progress etc.. (You can compare this difference by looking at my BoD logs and my TEP logs). However, once TEP released i was very ready to give all my best into this tier and work my way up into becoming even a better DH.
Tell us about your previous guilds and your reasons for leaving them:
First guild was one which was located in my country, Greece, it was called Sons of Erebus, it was a pretty bad guild, we only managed to do 3/9m on BoD but as a starter guild i'd say it was ok. I merely left because i got a better offer for another guild which i opted to join. The guild was Paramount and we were able to do 8/9m BoD but later on disbanded after there were many absences and raiders just decided leaving the guild so thus everyone left. Later on I took a break until TEP released and was offered to join a wr 1000 guild, Infected Nation, which i did join and played until 6/8m and later left because raid leader didn't really prepare after each boss, raiders didn't bother doing even the simplest mechanics, some people were doing like 30k dps on ST fights and no one really bothered to farm benthic pieces. Later on i was searching for new guilds and i was accepted into eXsto but only stayed there for a month approximately and left because i essentially disliked the environment and felt uncomfortable + i desired to join my friends' guild, STORIES. In this guild i left after about 4 weeks solely because i started building up bad reputations with the GM/Officers which led to creating a bad atmosphere. After staying guildess for about 1.5 months due to not finding a guild, i was offered into Alterac Deviants which i merely stayed for 1 week as i found raiding at that rank very repetitive, mundane and requiring too much commitment.
More Information:
Can you meet our raid schedule of Wed/Thur/Mon 21:00 to 00:00 server time with at least 90% attendance?
Yes
We also raid on Sunday at the start of a new raiding tier. Are you aware of this?
Yes
Are you able to Listen and Speak on Teamspeak?
Yes
What qualities do you bring to a Raid?
Out of my experience, I've always been able to learn mechanics of an upcoming boss perfectly with quite most of the times having little errors caused by brainlag and I am able to adapt into new strategies easily (mostly this if we are already doing 1 certain strategy then switching to another one because that old one was inadequate). Not only that but I'm able to maintain almost perfect damage whilst watching out for mechanics. I've also lately starting to gear up more and more alts (and of course learning them) which are soon going to be usable in mythic raids and later on in the start of a tier for split runs. I might have missed some stuff but I feel like this is basically all my strenghts which I'm capable of unleashing.
How comfortable are you playing your offspecs?
I would say enough, i do know how to play Vengeace i just do not have the required gear so i wont be doing that good.
How do you feel about progression raiding?
Well, progression is the most essential part of raiding and thus you need to be the most focused and fully prepared then. In addition, it is substantially more fun than farm in most occasions as repeatedly doing 1 boss after a while gets way too boring.
Where did you hear about Curse of Years and do you know anyone in the guild?
Well i heard you from Nalgust and Pope, they know me quite well and i am sure they can vouch for me as well :)
What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years?
Nalgust and Pope being in
Do you play outside of raid?
Yes, usually m+ or farming alts, if not then other games.
Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?
No
