I'm a trained social worker, currently unemployed (RIP), but actively looking for jobs in the area. Outside of WoW I spend a lot of time with my little brother, mostly playing LoL when we aren't together IRL. On occasion I spend a lot of time playing Pokemon GO - depending on whether I like the pokemon in raids or not or there are special events that I want to be a part of.

Describe your choice of talents and why you've chosen them:
15 - Execution Sentence, because it simmed better and it actually doesn't feel so bad to use anymore.
30- Hammer of Wrath, also simmed better + it's nice to have more more abilities to use, the downtime between abilities can be a bit much without it sometimes.
45 - Varies depending on content, but usually fist of justice has more use in every scenario.
60 - Wake of Ashes, my precious artifact ability, Well tbh I prefer this talent to the other options, there will definitely be times where Consecration is a better option. If / when that is the case, I will swap to that.
75 - Varies depending on content. Currently running Cavalier because I haven't been doing any serious raids, so I just like the mobility. On mythic I might use either of the other options though, depends what kind of value I can get from them.
90 - Selfless Healer, I ran Word of Glory for a while, and it felt amazing to heal an insane amount in M+ when the healers just don't do their jobs. But I expect differently in raids, so I would continue to use Selfless Healer and heal whenever it's needed - with or without the proc. Should a fight call for more burst healing I wont hesitate to use Word of Glory though.
100 - Crusade, honestly I just like it more than Inquisition for the content I've been doing, it's definitely not the best choice right now, as Inquisition is better overall. And should I start raiding mythic again I would ofc swap to that instead of Crusade.
How do you prioritize your stats and why?
With my pug-raid progression and gear acquisition since posting the application, my stat weights have changed a bit. However in my testing I've found that most of my stats are closer than initially expected.
Crit = Haste > Versatility = Mastery: Strength
Where do you acquire knowledge about your Class?
About Azerite traits, essences and more from Icy-veins, wowhead and bloodmallet - as well as simulations for what actually works better in specific scenarios. About my class in general, I tend to read from the same sites as well as retpaladin.xyz - But I've been playing retribution since ICC, so I mostly use those sites to check that my own findings aren't completely off base.

Raiding History:
Describe your previous/current raiding experience:
Well I cleared all content when it was current until my break in early MoP because ret paladins felt like shit to play. Came back to the game in late ToT as enhancement shaman and cleared Garrosh Mythic.
I took a casual break in WoD to focus on other aspects of the game. Ie. PvP. Came back to Mythic raiding during BRF and Hellfire Citadel, cleared everything except Mannoroth and Archimonde before the nerf.
Fully cleared Emerald Nightmare and ToV Mythic and stopped playing during Mythic Krosus Progression while I was a member of CoY.
Tell us about your previous guilds and your reasons for leaving them:
Curse of Years - quit the game - lack of time to play the game.
Conviction (Arathor) - Too slow progression at the time, nice people though.
Some alliance guild on Silvermoon during HFC progress - I forget the name.
Prime (Tarren Mill) - Disbanded

What qualities do you bring to a Raid?
Extensive knowledge about my class/spec. A willingness to do the "shitty jobs" - like conveyor belt on Blackfuse. An eye for strategy, I tend to see ways to make the group more effective.
How comfortable are you playing your offspecs?
Well, I can play protection if I must, I hate holy, so that isn't happening, lol.
How do you feel about progression raiding?
It's fine, can be tedious at times when it's the same error over and over, but when we finally pass the hurdle it's worth it.
Where did you hear about Curse of Years and do you know anyone in the guild?
Well...
What encouraged you to apply to Curse of Years?
The guild seems to be mostly the same as it was, no reason not to.
Do you play outside of raid?
Yes. My paladin not so much recently, because I wanted to try some alts, my hunter Minatozaki-Hellfire, and Warrior Czar-Hellfire.
Is there anything else you'd like to add to your application?
I've spoken to everyone in the officer team multiple times about potential spots for melee, and there haven't really been any openings. So provided you're not willing to take me in anyway (which is fine btw), I'm more than willing to leave my application open ended, as I wont be going anywhere, and if you feel like you need/want me in, I'm here and available.
Also, I'm willing to play either of the 3 characters I've mentioned if you are more interested in one of the other 2 classes - Paladin, Warrior, Hunter. Granted my gear is rubbish on those 2 characters atm. and my raid experience on Hunter is from TBC (Up to Black Temple) and WotLK (until Ulduar when I swapped to my paladin) and warrior is like Highmaul/BRF/Eternal Palace heroic. My warrior is in a decent state at this point all things considered, but still quite far behind. I have kinda abandoned the hunter for a bit, as I've tried to farm a few BiS items on my paladin.
